Introduction to Psychosocial Factors in Disease and Treatment

It is known that the introduction portion of a given context is responsible for portraying an influential effect on the reader’s mind which in turn, helps the readers to proceed with the task. It is known that a case study is responsible for analyzing a real situation in order to solve an on-going problem. Hence the proper application of different theories has to be implemented under the practical situation. As per the selected context, the research conductor has considered psychosocial models following a given case study. Following that, the research conductor has also developed an assessment plan as well as an intervention plan following the chosen model. Also, the research conductor has produced an evaluation process based on the chosen model to draw an effective conclusion.

Key Points of The Selected Model

It is known that health promotion is one of the crucial factors to change the behaviour of people. Following that, social psychologists have delivered multiple empirical as well as theoretical researches by people’s behaviour change. Also, this selected model has been used to identify the needs of a patient as well as provide proper advice to meet up the psychological needs (Adams and Yanos, 2020). Besides, a patient’s need is dependent upon various factors such as mental, social, spiritual, cultural as well as developmental needs. It is known that the selected model namely psychological model is responsible for developing a close relationship between social factors and the psychological factors.

Furthermore, the selected model has been divided into different categories to provide the best treatment for the patients. Following that, these theories are commonly known as learning theory, information processing theory, social support and developmental models, social cognitive theory and many more (Teo, Bentley and Nguyen, 2020). All these selected theories and models are associated with the empirical information to deliver the best treatment and advice to the survivors of torture and violence. As per the context of the given case study, the patient has been suffered through physical and mental torture with verbal abuse. Hence, the patient has undergone through different types of psychological problems such as depression, anxiety and sometimes suicidal tendency (Spink, Boduszek and Debowska, 2020). Based on this situation, the research conductor has incorporated the psychosocial model to proceed with the assessment plan.

Assessment Plan

It is known that the assessment plan for the psychosocial model has been used to identify brief information about the patient’s history. Following that, the assessment pan for the psychosocial model has incorporated different components such as identification of the patient’s ID, medical history, medication list as well as information about the consumption of drug and alcohol, violence under physical as well as verbal torture, occupational as well as a family history of patents (Odum et al., 2020). Based on the selected components, the researcher has developed an assessment plan under the selected or given case study.

Importance of The Assessment Plan with The Selected Model

Based on a given case study, the research conductor has developed an assessment plan to proceed with the interview procedure. Throughout the whole interview procedure, the research conductor has seen that the patient has become restricted. Moreover, the selected patient also sometimes became agitated by the proceeding question. This interviewing procedure is occurred to know or gain knowledge about the patient’s history (Amoroso et al., 2020). Following that, it is known from the questionnaire process, the lady has lived her life with her daughter solely. Also, she is a divorce of five years of marriage and has a current boyfriend. However, the lady is lacking from happiness under her relationship status as she told that she was brutally tortured by her ex-husband as well as from her current boyfriend. Hence, the lady is suffered through mental illness such as agitation, depression.

Intervention Plan

As per the context of the psychosocial model, it is known that the intervention plan is responsible for the delivery of best practices to the patients suffered through mental illness. Also, the doctors or psychiatrists, as well as social workers, first analyze the patient’s past as well as present situation (Duan et al., 2020). After that, they provide a better adaptation to promote health as well as the behavior of the sufferer. Following that, there are presences of basic elements such as patient’s autonomy, self-knowledge as well as self-help by the intervention plan for a psychosocial model (Snopkowski and Ziker, 2020). Based on the given case study, the research conductor has generated an intervention plan to promote the health of the patient.

Impact of The Selected Model with Roles for Worker and Client

The intervention plan is developed based on the assessment plan. The researcher has identified three main goals by ongoing time. Also, this intervention plan is very beneficial for the patient to overcome the mental trauma that she gained during her relationships (Howe, 2002). Moreover, the intervention plan also benefits the patient to progress in her professional life which in turn, helps the patient to earn more money and achieve her dreams.

Evaluation of Psychosocial Factors in Disease and Treatment

By proceeding with the intervention plan under the psychosocial model, the research conductor has gained the knowledge to set future goals for the patient. These future goals are responsible for helping the patient to overcome her from mental trauma (Healy, 2005). Also, the research conductor has given its limelight on the positive aspects of the patient’s life (Engert, Grant and Strauss, 2020). This kind of activity shall be helpful or beneficial for the suffered patient to save her life from suicidal ideation.

Conclusion on Psychosocial Factors in Disease and Treatment

The selected report is responsible for the delivery of a brief idea as well as a clear image of the concept of the psychological model following the given case study. Following that, this selected model has been categorized into two aspects such as assessment plan and intervention plan. The research conductor has generated both plans based on the given case scenario to identify the history of the selected patient as well as to provide the best treatment to promote her health. The selected framework such as psychosocial plan is very appropriate to study on the patient’s history as well as provide the best advice to optimize the patient’s resources.
