Adam is a well educated lawyer and a politician from Syria. Sarah is a feminist. Both were forced to migrate to Australia by ship so as to escape the political pressures that they face back at home. They lacked the idea that when they arrive in Australia they would be forced to spend a measurable amount of time on the Christmas Island in the detention center. Using their skills, they both started manipulating and educating the masses, equipping them with knowledge of their rights and how they are being oppressed by the government to make them escape home. Sarah also empowered women in the detention center hopping that every woman will be empowered.

She later learned that there are some forces that tend to act against her and her life is in danger. Adam was also constantly arrested even with no trial and yet he always led demonstrations and opposes the government in almost every decision they make.

They were terrified about their lives and opted to flee to Australia. The met at the harbor and boarded the same boat. Adam manages to escape with his father and Sarah helped in taking care of them both as they survive the trip. It was rumored that the two were captured in Australia’s Christmas Island detention center after twelve months of captivity.
