The Health Workforce Policy Change

The health workforce policy change has a greater influence on the nursing profession through the changes that have been incorporated for the improvement of health outcomes of Australia’s first peoples. Improvement in health workforce policy change will benefit Australia’s Aboriginal people in different ways ranging from increasing access to culturally safe care along with greater access to healthcare practitioners. The policy change will also help these people to voice their health needs in future and their social and emotional wellbeing will be prioritised (Franks & Franks, 2019).

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency will share the costs with the boards based on an agreed formula. All the financial and historical data will be considered for estimating the cost proportion (AHPRA and National Boards. 2020). The policy mainly poses financial implications in some specific areas like training the health professionals, professional development of the health practitioners, community consultation and others.

The primary aspects when discussing the influence of the policy on health workforce capacity are related to improvements in the quality of training as well as a broadening of the horizon of knowledge.
