Your first mistake related to integrity will result in warning to you, depending on the type of incident but for your second mistake can lead you to more trouble. Penalties depending on the type of incident includes zero in the course, suspended from the college, discontinuance from college and many more which will directly affect your studies (Kwong,Hafiz, Lau and Chan 2018). Besides this, academic integrity has various positive factors also if you follow it. It helps in building good relationship with others, it generates trust in people who surrounds you, helps to generate successful leadership quality, and it keeps you honest, trustworthy and fair, and helps in generating good reputation.
My learning style based on Peterson & Kolb’s (2017) is converging type. I prefer to solve my problem by myself and I learn through the process. I believe that learning through our mistakes is better than watch from outside. I deal with my problems practically and find my solution during the process itself. I prefer to do technical tasks as they are interesting and they are best suited for finding theories and ideas for practical issues. I am less interested in social issues as compared to technical tasks.
As a student time management is very important. Good skills of time management help me to manage my whole day work easily. I can easily give time to my prioritized work such as I can complete my homework and assignment at time while giving appropriate time for my other work. I can manage my school and my sports activity very easily with good time management. Being a student time management helps in developing academic skills as well as social skills, as I can provide sufficient time to both. Time management helps me in tracking my work and it also reduces my stress.
Critical thinking is a capability through which an individual can generate independent and reflective thinking. It also refers to the ability of thinking clearly and logically about what we are going to do and believe (McPeck 2016). I will use this ability at the time of solving any particular task or issue as I prefer to solve technical tasks. Critical thinking plays an important role during solving any task and it will help in my process of solving technical issues.
The two business communication models are Aristotle’s Model of Communication and the David Berlo’s SMCR Model. The Aristotle’s Model of Communication have five elements which includes the speaker, the massage, the audience, the occasion and the effect. According to this model, the speaker is advised to prepare the massage while keeping the audience, occasion and its effect on mind (Dwyer and Hopwood 2019). On the other hand, the David Berlo’s SMCR Model has four elements which include source, massage, channel and receiver. This model component have influence on the communication as it include personal factors like culture, social system, knowledge, attitude and communication skills of sender and receiver(Dwyer and Hopwood 2019).
Some barriers to Business Communications being successful includes language, physical separation, status differences, gender differences, and culture diversity. These communication barriers are very important to overcome as they can prevent or distort the communication within the business (Forbes 2017). All the above barriers are the most common that an individual can face during communication. To become successful, an individual needs to overcome these barriers of business communication. On the other hand, other barriers to communication can be termed as five T’s of change communication which includes technique of communication, timing of communication, tool used for communication, temperament of communicator and transparency (Forbes 2017). All this above factors play very important role during communication within the business. Communication is a two way process and it require attention from both sides communicator as well as receiver.
