What Are Some of The Normal Activities in a Country?

The country selected to review the business practices in Singapore. Singapore being a diverse country with several people belonging to various religions, communities, etc follow several business practices. Some of the business practices that are followed are:

  • Dress code: For women formals include trousers, pants, skirts, shirts, etc. For men, it comprises blazers, shirts, trousers, etc (Pablo et al., 2019).
  • Time Management: In Singapore, it is considered to be a rude affair and a symptom of tardiness if a person is late to work. Work culture is not flexible in Singapore in terms of punctuality (Santander, 2020).
  • Decision Making is quick: In Singapore, the process of decision making is quick and very reliable. In a country like Singapore, the paperwork is done in the stipulated time frame so as to make things work.
  • Gifting: To gift a present is considered a manner of expressing gratitude in Singapore. So, the businessmen and common people are very much into gifting presents to each other (Travel and Residence, 2020).

Speaking of types of business practices, in Singapore, they are not specifically categorized and grouped as such. Each business practice has a separate domain and area in Singapore and the practices cannot be interlinked with each other as such.

In a fast-developing country like Singapore, there are a large number of normal activities in regard to business. Some of them are (Jhinghan, 2016): 

  • People in Singapore have a tendency to bargain for the goods and services they are buying like in the markets of Buggies etc people try to bargain for the goods. 
  • People are more inclined to buy goods that have discounts and offers on them.
  • In Singapore, people give more priority to their lunch rather than breakfast.
