Case Study: Supply Chain Crisis Management and Strategies

Q1. The key CSR issue in this case is to implement and promote health and safe working environment. By doing so, the issue of mass fainting can be minimised and the reason behind it could also be rectified. As a result to this, the manager could be involved in implementing varied types of steps in order to enhance the motivation and potentiality towards the work. Along with this, the cooling system of the factory could also be examined and if required, it can be replaced so as to present a cool and pleasing environment of work for the employees (CSR, 2017).

Q2. Being a CSR manager, it is my duty to identify the exact underlining issues and to resolve them. However, it can be reduced only if the exact causes can be mapped and evaluated within the shortest possible time. Since, the improper working of the cooling system acted a worse situation within the factory hindered the proper working situation and resulted in fainting. Therefore, just by altering the cooling machine of the place, a entirely fruitful environment can be offered to the people. At the same, in order to improve the economic condition of the employees, an extra funding support needs to be given. Then, it can act as a backbone in minimising the requirements of the elderly parents of the workforces (Kotler, 2018).

Q3. In this technological advancement, sustainability and profitability are some of the prime requirements that need to be attained by any entrepreneur. Other than this, any other essentiality, like workers issue, cooling system disparity, lack of incentive etc are some of the things that are often overlooked. Unless and until, the serious matter just like witnessed in the case example occurs, the management or the CSR department does not stare at it. Keeping this words in mind, it can be said that, similar scenario is viewed in this case. In the case of a developing fashion company of Australia, ranking, popularity and brand image are widely marked. Rather than this, workers health or working place is not taken into consideration. However, after occurrence of the case of fainting, the CSR tried to know the underlining causes of distress among the people (Moon, 2016). Therefore, after knowing the problem of cooling, the machine is replaced by the CSR manager. This may reduce the extreme heat and warmth of the factory and increase the inner zeal towards the work. Other than this, a process of incentives is also introduced in order to retain the workers for the higher time. Since, employees are the prime pillar of success in this sector and their talent is visualised in their works and so their wishes includes highest priority.
