Behavioural Guidance Plan

Overview:

Behavioural guidance is a way of helping a child develops the self-management of his behavioural actions. The behaviour guidance aims to make the child understand his behavioural actions and develop a skill of managing his behaviour. Under this guidance, the act of physically beating, scolding, punishing are not considered as the remedial method to improve the child's behavioural action because these treatments affect the child mentally and his self-esteem. The plan developed for behaviour guidance is called behavioural guidance plan. It is a written document that contains information regarding appropriate steps required for the development of a child's behaviour and how the assisting person should support the child.

ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder):

ADD means attention deficit disorder, it is a condition that is common in children and some adults. It is more likely to affect the boys as compared to the girls, such children have problems paying attention and concentrating. They often get bored with the tasks and get frustrated easily. They face challenges while understanding or learning new things and eventually fail to accomplish such goals. Additional information

Environmental Factor: The environmental factor that could have impacted the children with ADHD are premature birth, low birth weight, parental tobacco exposure, high exposure to lead, inconsistent parenting, etc.

Resource requirements and constraints:  The resources required are the behavior of the teacher, parent, doctor's advice, medication, behavioral therapy, educational tools, signs and symptoms guide or books, toys if children required, a stationary item like a pencil, pen, color to teach the child activities of writing and drawing. Though it cannot be said for sure that how much time will it take to cure children with ADHD weekly record keeping will beneficial to tracking the improvement.

For advice or referral: If required one can go to the private clinic of the doctors who deal with this kind of child. For reference one may visit www.healthdirect.gov.au as it has useful information for such a child. Moreover, there are tons of resources available online and many doctors online that could be helpful.

The consistency in implementation can be maintained by regularly following up the scheduled set for the activities and putting the proper focus in each of the activities to be performed. Moreover, it is required to adhere to the prescribed medication and behavior with the child throughout.

The staff will be supported in the plan by providing the written plan and procedure along with the pragmatic training about the following treatment. They can be trained for the way to behave and how do they have to behave in a particular situation.

The child will be included in the decision-making process by asking the children about his preference regarding the activities to be performed or the skill he wants to develop. Moreover, the children should be given a chance to propose their preference for his plan or short term plan.

The plan might link to service in many ways because every service is delivered from one end to another and the same applies to this. Moreover, services are rendered in a systematic process and different person plays a different role at a different level. Similarly, in this plan, many service providers have different responsibilities and duties to perform at a different level that eventually benefits the customer or in this case the child.
