Introduction to Workplace Communication

As a working student who is not economically stable and has to work to earn my livings, online education will provide flexibility. This flexibility will give me a choice to study from anywhere and at any time. The courses provided are completely virtual and do not require physical presence, this will in turn save a great deal of time and commuting money. The massively open range of courses will provide clear options regarding the course duration, time and investment required for its completion. This information will help me in choosing a course that will be well suited for me along with my work schedule. Being an employee and a student there is always a lot of work to be done which requires proper time management, knowing such small information can help a great deal in time management. 

Convenience and flexibility are the main area of concern as a working student which can be very evidently fulfilled by online learning as leaving the work is never an option if the class schedule conflicts with the work schedule. Online learning offers the flexibility to manage both work and studies properly without any worry of time conflicts (Brianna et al., 2019). Online learning appeals to me as I am balancing my job and my studies. The option provides the chance of independent learning at a time that is most suitable for me and fits well with my working schedule. Learning online provides the freedom to manage work and school without having to physically travel to the school to receive an education. When we talk about traditional settings of a classroom, the timeline is already set which the students are expected to follow, leaving the students powerless by forcing them to manage their schedules around the predefined college schedules. As a working individual doing that is simply out of options as I have work commitments to be fulfilled, and so online learning is the preferred mode of learning for me, as it gives me the power to delegate my time according to my choice. 

Online learning also reduces the cost of academic learning as a lot of money is saved when the cost of commuting to the college is out of the question. Other assorted costs such as the cost for fuel, maintenance, public transportation costs, parking costs are some of the charges that get excluded by online learning. Online education will provide me with options to network with peers all around the globe, which will open the doors for new opportunities and better choices. This exposure to different cultures will also benefit my career and nourish my experience. As a working individual creating notes is a very time-consuming task, though online education all the study material is virtually stored which makes it less time-consuming and more convenient. When in bout or need of clarification all the documents and study materials will be quickly assessed, anywhere, and at any given time (Kebritchi et al., 2017). This will help ease the problem-solving process and enhance the quality of education. Students in the working environment miss a lot during sessions as their focus is always divided and may not get personalized attention in the classroom environment. Most colleges have hundreds of students in a class and giving extra consideration to a student in usually never practised by the teaching professionals as they too are bound to time and its cyclic academic division. Online education solves this problem as online guided lectures provide clear student-teacher connection and direct discussions, with personal problem-solving time, this increases my chances of better performance as the time given by the instructor is more and communication is direct and clear.

The online education also gives access to specialized courses that may not be easily assailed or require more financial investments. Such courses may not be available in my local area, through online learning I will be able to receive such specialized courses without spending a lot of extra money to gain accessibility (Tull et al., 2017). This type of education has gained overall acceptance as it provides the choice of a controlled learning environment, which provides an accessible and easily understandable learning environment. Changing learning modules provides a wider scope for opportunities by giving the students a chance to fashion their learning experience as per their comfort and needs and not the other way round. Online learning provides the flexibility of learning as the scope for choosing any course of choice and earning credits is very high. I can take any course of my wish, whether it is humanities, algebra, biology, or any other field that fits my interest and my schedule (Liguori & Winkler, 2020). Another great benefit of online learning as compared to traditional classes is unhindered communication with the professors as it is not always convenient for me to visit the professor face to face, so virtual sessions, emails, live chats, or telephonic communication can prove to be a much-needed source of comfort. This mode of the study also increases the opportunities to get direct feedback and have questions sessions directly with the professor (Singh, 2019). Because of online learning, I can also choose the learning environment that is best suited for me. This will unarguably increase my concentration and help me gain a better understanding of the overall study structure. Whether at home or work, I can create my working environment for studies and assignments, any other disruption will automatically get cancelled. This mode of learning provides better opportunities to concentrate by not being crowded with people or if so, allows balancing the education according to my preference.

This mode of learning will also allow me to review my courses anytime and anywhere I want, with the help of videos, presentations, podcasts, and written notes, all I need is my presences and a virtual source. I can share my screen to ask questions, share my ideas, or present my doubts which will in-turn help me organize my studies. The pressure to keep up with the race is pressing and controlling the clock is impossible, what's possible is finding flexible ways to achieve desired goals at a time, and that for me can be done via online learning.
