Individual skills are considered as highly significant in healthcare industry in which the experience, expertise, skills, proficiency, communication, leadership and other traits can deliver effective service to the patients. Besides this individual trait, team working strategy is currently considered as one of the most effective aspect for both students as well as professional practice (Bowers et al. 2019). For this reason, while I and my three peers have participated in a study about the inclusion of indigenous people of Australian in different healthcare facilities as employees, I have learnt about this type of team working practices. The group is developed by including three members who have worked with me in the academic settings. With the help of professors and leaders, we have found our group to conduct the task. The assessor has instructed to be focused, cooperative, communicative, and knowledgeable to all four members of the team. The main aim of forming this group to promote team working culture in future professional settings. On the other hand, different traits have been acknowledged by all group members and me in order to include those individual skills in the settings.
The most significant strategy is leadership which is a key skill for group members. All the differences and familiar viewpoints of all group members are discussed and critically analysed by all participants. Therefore, various arguments and contradiction about the deliverables have been emerged and the team members have taken such arguments as constructive work. With the help of these arguments and critics, we figure out effective and appropriate discussion in collaborative way (Lacerenza et al. 2018). However, if we fail to address the issues or fail in any aspects, we share the failure in collaborative way. This is a transformational leadership style or democratic leadership strategy in which, all participants have equal rights to deliver their though as well as the decision making is also conducted in effective way. However, the strategy of conflict resolution is still an issue for our team which requires to develop effectively.
Apart from this, I have noticed, emotional intelligence is necessary to incorporate within the communication skills of group members. Understanding each of the participant’s behaviour, body language and emotion with the help of this interpersonal skill is essential for managing the team and delivering ideas and knowledge (Rosen et al. 2018). On the other hand, in order to transfer knowledge and findings, we have found that developing communication skill is necessary aspect. Not only within the team, but also while working in the practical field, fluency in communication is necessary to improve in an effective way. Besides this, choice of effective communication platform is also an important aspect. While conducting out knowledge transfer and developing the project work, we have found that using social media, video conferencing media, emails and other e-media are important for communicating with each other.
After completion of the project, I feel satisfied for the final outcome as well as the knowledge and skills that have been acquired during the assignment. Along with this, I feel that I have absorbed the participatory style of the team which is effective for understanding the future practice within the healthcare settings.
