Global Justice and its Societal Impacts

When the concept of global justice spurns up, John Rawl’s work cannot remain unmentioned. John Rawls work The Law Of Peoples (Rawls, 1999), he managed to elevate the thinking pattern of the readers by questioning things like, international actions should be guided by which principles?; are we responsible towards the poor people, globally?; is the concept of global inequality a troublesome thing?; should non-liberal people be tolerated?; are foreign policies in harmony with liberal values?; is the concept of realistic utopia possible?; what could be done to make this world a less unjust one? (Rawls, 1999). Apart from this other global issues like genocide, ethnic cleansing, terrorism, immigrants penetration etc have been work as a catalyst in a chemical reactive world, metaphorically speaking.

The concept of global justice means what kind of justice is there if one measure it by global scale and that includes a discussion of certain things like identifying the problems in this area; finding a solution for each such problem; who shall be responsible to solve the problem; pointing out the what agents should do in finding the solutions; and giving a normal viewpoint to all of this (Altman and Wellman, 2009). With the Rawls theory, an inference could be made out that if people have their moral values and their set of institutions that guide them in normal life alive, then the concept of global inequality is not much of a troublesome concept. However, critically speaking, when global inequality is seen based on the power level and the range of influence the powerful has on the weaklings. This can change the moralistic values of the people and put them into deprivation and at disadvantage level. Like today in we were to see the international position of China, so it wouldn't be wrong to say that it is a leading power worldwide and far above the USA. Its influence on the World Health Organisation (WHO) is no hidden news. Because of its power and strength, the very organization working for the USA went under the tutelage of China.

Another theory of Rawls, he looks at the definition of prosperity from a different angle (Rawls, 1999). To him, prosperity depends upon the country's political culture, the intrinsic worth of its leaders and the domestic institutions' foundation. However, his critics have a different side to it. International institutions like International Borrowing and Resource Privileges, have the privilege to decide how they want to allocate the resources to whomsoever they feel like doing and at any price (Pogge, 1994). This happens when domestic countries borrow money on behalf of their governments and then obligated to pay the debt. This leads to disharmony among countries that are actually in need of this privilege (Pogge, 1994).

Therefore to curb this inequality we have to have more stringent international law. The reason why the global aspects are more dangerous to mankind is there is no deterrence to bureaucracy. one who has the power is the king and others are its soldiers whom they only use for strengthening their own fate. Nobody thinks about normal people. International organizations are a perfect example of bureaucracy. They are under those who actually have larger pockets to fulfil their needs. This is why we could form such organisations who actually work for the state's subjects and not for the states.
