1. What health promotion model or models is the program going to utilise and why?

The program is going to utilize the Pender's model of health promotion for the program as it helps to change the behavioural aspect that helps to promote health. The model utilizes the two theories to identify the health behaviour which include social cognitive theory and value expectancy theory that help in the development of the health promotion model. The model utilizes three factors to understand the behavioural aspect which includes individual characteristics, behaviour-specific cognitions and behavioural contingencies. The model utilizes seven steps to develop the health promotion program and it also helps in accurate implementation of the program (Heydari & Khorashadizadeh, 2014).

2. What is the setting/supportive environment where your program will take place? Is this the most appropriate given your target population? Why?

The support services environment will be preferred to conduct the health promotion program to require an accurate environment to assist the individual during the intervention. The health promotion program planning requires different aspect that is to be considered during the construction of the framework and physical environment for the program plan a major role thus it is also considered (Springer et al., 2016). The accurate implementation of the health promotion plan requires a supportive environment to assist the participant during the program. The social and physical environment is required to provide all the necessary help that is required to properly conduct the health promotion program (de Jong et al., 2019).

3. What individual health education (or personal skills) need to be considered? What knowledge deficits do you need to address?

Many personal skills are required to improve the efficiency of the health promotion plan and they are to be utilized during the implementation of the program. The leadership skill is one of the important aspects that are required to accurately implement the health promotion plan. Empathy should be utilized toward participant issue and help them during the program. The problem-solving ability is also required to assist the team during an issue that arises in the health promotion plan. The professional skills help the individual to understand the issue and critically utilize skills to improve health (Fry & Zask, 2017).

4. What other stakeholders need to be involved in your program? And why? 

Different stakeholders are involved in the health promotion plan as they provide support in proper planning and implementation of the program. Government plays a major role as a major stakeholder that help in the funding and planning of the health promotion plan. Health care services help to provide accurate assistance concerning the proper intervention utilized in the health promotion program. NGO’s and non-government organization can help in the proper implementation of the program by assisting in interventions. The last will be patient and public support is also important for proper implementation for the health promotion plan. The stakeholders are considered to be the backbone of the health promotion program as they play a major role in the success of the program (Harris et al., 2016).
