Answer 1- The work system helps in the achievement of the various tasks through informal work structure. The use of communication through shared work responsibility reduce the burden of work and result in an increase in productivity for the individual. The new layout creates a challenge in communication create distance and loneliness between workers reducing their motivation level of work. Lack of motivation creates a burden on employees who look at work as pressure instead of an opportunity to perform. The working layout is central towards functioning for workers that creates a fall in productivity (Thornton, 2018).
Answer 2- The social system creates common value between groups and interaction reinforces unity and integrity of the group. A sense of cohesiveness is developed as member’s reliance and stickiness on each other increases. The monetary compensation can be the motivation factor for employees and one of the causes of the decline in performance. To increase employee adaptability, the monetary benefit should be addressed and other benefits for alteration should be communicated. The informal structure expedites communication between groups. The workers understood the way system works due to the above factors.
Answer -3-The consultant work as an engineering factor to improve traffic flow without physical expansion and indicated work area change in the transportation department where the relationship formed as personal and social networks. The re-organization of the work layout will enhance productivity. The worker's preference for continuous interaction was hindered by the consultant's proposal and this caused a change in behavior.

The disorientation is due to a change in work layout by the structured change in transportation than circular work area for workers.
Answer 6-Changes due to work layout are bound to resistance form working members. The social and psychological resistance is determined by common values, changes in management policies, and fear due to the breakdown of their work pattern (Griffin, 2019). Answer1- Strayhorn's communication was not effective in communicating at Eastern Food Service Corporation. He did not come forwards for clarity among the on barded staff for explanation amid the renewal discussions neared for an extension. As a manager the role is to create communication among staff for relevant information (Christiania, 2017).The silence by him on lease contract renewal created a decline in employee morale and productivity. Employee behavior change resulted in a decline in profits and sales of the company. The contract renewal created ambiguity within employees. The employees are unsure of their future in their organization and whether they will be rehired due to the rumors on renewal. Strayhorn has not enquired about the contract neither he communicated originations future action and communicated in this regard shows weakness as a poor communicator that impacted the productivity by lack of focus and the possibility of being laid off as their faith for working in an organization.
Answer 2- The contract was going to terminate in two weeks and no-communication by manger floated the rumor of contract will not be extended created anxiety and stress on employees on job security and income. The use of informal communication as in the case rumors is floated and easily the unconfirmed information passes from one person to another. The anxiety level increases due to uncertainty with a lack of clarity in communication for employee stress created by the situation not by the individual due to lease agreement between both parties. It obstructs the working environment and their future impact due to the suspension of the contract. Anxiety among employees makes them believe false information such as rumor as an uncertain future (Lewis, 2019).
People tend to be more active on the grapevine as the misinformation is consummate to the transmission with a lack of clarity around the given situation. Non-active management stance in crisis act as a facilitator for the grapevine for informal communication to decide on the next course of action. The uncertainty in the organization, in this case, is the prime reason for grapevine as employee support becomes collaborative for students hired who may lose a contract or their offer will be revoked following the lease agreement non-extensionthis showed disconnect by Strayhorn in this case.
Answer 3- Yes grapevine allows people to think through as the rumor for non-extension of the contract created uncertainty before any official communication held by the manger. The rumor was floated and was communicated across the organization. Grapevine is communication solicited as informal and a dialog at the workplace not following any prescribed format (Nwinyokpugi, 2018). The students became tense due to the situation and the turnover rate has increased and productivity in terms of sale and profit was low. Positive rumors such as promotions result as release valves, the negative news leads to employees actively taking a stance for their benefit as a team for providing support and communicate actively for breaking down to a conclusion on the issue. Feedback and inquisitiveness for information among groups for reaching out to others for seeking information further for substantiate their position in the looming crisis.
