The results of Gallup report was based on five major themes; context, deliberative, competition, significance and focus (Gallup Workplace, 2018). It is being found that I have the capacity to outrun my competitors due to the skill set of showing awareness towards the particular situation. I have the instinct of asking the questions and engross too much in identifying the cause and effect which makes me effective in performing well during the uncertain situations . The most significant element of my result is that I focus on assessing the impact of events on others and accordingly determine that what motivate or dissatisfies others.
Personality wise, I am a sober and decent person who doesn’t like any kind of nonsense and most importantly, the results show that I waste no time and like to associate with the people who are serious thinker. I have the habit of helping others and motivating others to achieve their goals and most importantly I have the tendency of being liked by others which I think is not a good or appreciable quality. Acquiring the knowledge on the regular basis is my major strength as revealed in the results and I keep myself distant from the people who have no set directions and goals towards the life. The results of the Gallup report also show that I am highly practical in nature which allows me to be emotional balanced and focused.
After seeing the result, I am surprise about the fact that I keep myself distant from people who have no goals and objectives. I would like to explore this area further and will dig the actual application of this element.
I am concerned towards the result that I am the one who love to be liked or appreciated. Up to certain extent it is not bad, I think everyone deserve applause but after a certain point of it can become weakness and I would like to get hold on this quality (Heyler, 2015).
However, the elements like being practical, focused and aware towards the situation are certain qualities and results which I would like to agree upon. In my perception, in order to become a leader, one should be able to act in practical ways with proper hold on emotions and most importantly being aware of business environment. To take right decisions practicality and awareness is needed as it informs people with right instincts.
For my current and future leadership potential and skills, I would like to focus on my communication skills along with the increment in emotional intelligence. My action plans and personal as well as professional development plan will revolve around the improvement in stress management as well as development of self-learning attitude (Akdeniz and Stark, 2014). My strength of being aware towards external situations and honest towards my skill set will definitely help me to enhance my skills as per the current and future leadership skill requirements.
