For this part, the mine model requirements were calculated, such that the next conditions were met:

• Level connections to the shaft had an air velocity of more than 0.5 m/s and less than 1 m/s.
• Airflow at the base of the mine is at least 50 m³/s.
• Use Main exhaust fans.

For this purpose, different fan and control device combinations were tested, obtaining that 4 parallel fans with a 2B curve were needed, also the shaft and the level connections to the shaft friction factors were changed to concrete lined airway smooth blasted respectively.

All the level connections to the shaft were regulated using the ventsim control regulator, varying the opening until a velocity of 0.5 m/s was obtained for each one, the openings for each one can be observed in the table below.

For this configuration the airflow at the base of the mine was 51.1 m³/s, only main exhaust fans were used and the airflow in the level connections to the shaft were of 0.5 m/s for all the cases, fulfilling all the objectives.
