Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing Education

The evidence-based practices can provide better patient outcomes, and would further decrease the demand for healthcare resources. Through the evidence-based approaches, organizations can reduce expenses and the nurses can provide effective results, that can help the patient to gain better strength (Mackey, 2017). The evidence-based practices are the more detailed evidences providing factual findings and better result-oriented goals.

Discussion on Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing Education

Evidence-Based Practices

EBP is noted to be important as it aims to provide the most effective care which is widely available and the main aim is to provide improving condition for the patient outcomes. The primary importance of evidence-based practices is to provide the best effective care depending on the best available evidence. Evidence-based practices are a detailed attitude of inquiry in health professionals and to identify as to what can be the evidence-based approaches and how the role of the health professionals can provide an additional professional service that can ensure fruitful practices with the informed best available evidence (Bleijenberg, et al, 2016). Further, the role of finite health resources can be be used to provide the relevant evidence that can be considered as the prime decision that can fund health services. Before evidence-based practices, the professional's main role is to provide advice for more experienced colleagues, often noted from the face value, having a strong intuition, and as to what can be educated to the nursing students. As the experiences can be flaws, as they are subjected to being bias and it is important to proactively teach the students and guide as to what is correctly taught to the students (Mykkänen, 2016). As the experiences can be older, can be less knowledgeable and can be less valuable due to the colleagues holding the information source to provide the dated, biased, and incorrect information. Evidence-based practices are mainly on the clinical experience alone for decision making, and the main role of the health professionals is to provide better clinical experience together through the types of evidence-based information (Mykkänen, 2016).

Importance in Nursing

Evidence-based practices in the nursing can provide an integration of research evidence, through the clinical expertise along with the patient's preferences (Oh, 2016). This problem-solving approach can provide the clinical practice that encourages nurses that can provide individualized patient care. Evidence-based practices make the nurses deliver an effective course of action for care delivery and within the nursing, the main role is to includes to form the clinical question that can identify a problem, gathering the best evidence to the clinical practices. Further, the nurses can access the result through this. The nurses can include the kind of the research through the randomized controlled trials, by gathering the evidence-based information gathered from the cohort, case-control analysis or observational studies, deriving the opinions from clinical experts and further to support with the experiences, studies or reports from committees and finally including from the personal experience. Through an inclusion of EBP within the nursing practices that can help to provide the nursing scientific research through the well-founded decisions (Richards, 2018). Nurses can also gather the new medical protocols for patient care, by including the relevant documented interventions that can include the profiles of patients and this would further increase the patients' chances for recovery. The nurses also can determine the risks or effectiveness of the diagnostic tests or treatments that can help to include the care plans from the nurses. Patient’s nurses would be able to develop more common proactive care for the healthcare industry and to have the values and preferences for the better process (Mackey, 2017).

Conclusion on Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing Education

To conclude, evidence-based practices include the new techniques, approaches, and even the outcomes which would be unique, not outdated, and would include the supplies, equipment, or products that would be no longer be necessary for certain procedures or techniques. The approaches include the programs integrating the design, methodologies, further process along with the ethical principles of research, that can help to provide better outcomes.
