Introduction to Event Concept Proposal

This report is based on the event concept proposal to bring positivity in society through short videos and creative views. It is focused on the Goldblatt’s five event concepts: what where, when, who and why to explore the essential criteria of the proposal. The major aim of the event concept proposal is to bring creativity among teenagers and enhance their opinions to showcase their talent. An event proposal represents a comprehensive document that provides necessary information regarding an event (Davidrajuh, 2019). A conceptual framework is established through the event proposal to meet the objectives of the Greater Local Council and meet industry standards.

What

The event concept proposal is “YouTube Video Contest” wherein the teenagers can participate from age 12 to 18 years. Participants can share their videos based on the theme ‘Bring positivity through smiles’. The individuals can share their short video (maximum 5 minutes) through the act, speech, play or any other creative approach that can fulfil the desired aim of the event.

Where

For this event, the Greater Local Council can use the auditorium. Selected videos will be shared on the YouTube channel to promote motivation and encourage participants. The movie theatre can also be used for this event to show significant efforts of the teenagers and bring a positive message that can influence others. Teenagers can use this platform to show their creativity and innovation to display their talent within the specified time. Specific videos will be shortlisted based on the messages and creativity of the participants.

When

This event will be organized in September (7th September – 13th September) to emphasize on creative approaches of teenagers and appreciate their efforts. This event can be arranged for one week to ask for maximum participation and concentrate on “Teen Innovation Week”. The timing of the event will be placed between 2 pm to 6 pm that can allow the families of the participants to attend the event.

Who

This event will be based on the theme ‘Bring positivity through smiles’. The target audience for the event will be family and friends of the participants, school students and society members. Teen Advisory Council will be the judge for the event with their staff members to review the thoughts and opinions of the teenagers and reward them. The stakeholders of the event will be teenagers, parents, family members, council members, event companies, schools, college students, Teen Advisory Council and government. Other interested parties for the event can be based on the resources that will be essential for the event.

This event can promote innovation among teenagers and allow them to show their opinions and views regarding the positive environment in the society. Their significant efforts can bring a positive change in society and help them to find their happiness. This event can approach creative teenagers who can bring a change in society and work for a happy and healthy life. The major objective of the event is to promote positivity in society and encourage teenagers to showcase creativity. This event will be identified as successful with the highest participation of teenagers.

Theme

The theme of this event is "Bring positivity through smiles” that highlights the importance of happy and positive life to bring healthy health outcomes and involve all the individuals from the society to approach towards a positive lifestyle. The event will be based on bright colours that can promote a happy environment. Yellow and white colours will be used for the decorations with the display of smileys and happy faces. Construction paper, stamps, markers and butcher paper will be used for decoration. Projector, sound system, tables for snacks and display will be used in the auditorium. Display of movies, novels and games will attract the attention of the audience with relevant themes.
