Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment

The leadership is not just a word its more than just the responsibility that a person has to have in itself, if they have to succeed in life. A leader is not just a person with highest position in the workplace but it also comes with the management of the responsibility in regards to the development of oneself with the help of the fellow mater to whom the responsibility of leading has been given.

In order for the leader to develop its best potential in life it requires more than just the knowledge of the work but it also needs to be part of the workplace by learning and following the culture of the work place as well. The workplace culture is of varying nature as it involves the colleagues from different cultural background and from diverse environment. In order to develop as a leader, one has to mentor their subordinates to whom they have to lead and help them learn the process of leading and following the lead into a simpler process (Roupnel, Rinfret, & Greinier, 2019).

As much as the leader has played the important role of development the institution and the processes of the development involved affect the leadership development equally. The process of leadership development could be distant in which direct or indirect leadership development takes place. They can help in setting up the transformational leadership as well as the organizational commitment (Avolio, Zhu , Koh , & Bhatia , 2004). The development of the leadership is not just the individual process but however is affected by variety of factors that may hamper with the development of the leader. The behavioural development at this stage is equally important as it provides the clear perspective in terms of the personality development from inner self. The interaction between the leader and the social and the organizational environment is necessary in order to develop the one self and bring out the leader in yourself come out (Dalakoura, 2010).

In order to develop the leader just its development is not required but instead there should be the involvement of the person in helping to relate with other people, empathize with them, should bring synchronization with their efforts, should be able to help in building the commitments of the colleagues and guide them through the path of being a good leader.

At USB the students are not mere individuals they are treated as the future leaders that will help world pave the path of world into the developed community. The USB commemorates each person as the lifeblood of their school and life. They help in developing the leader at USB by making the individual realise their true potential and lead responsibly. The students can lead the way in developing the world as the stewards of the society. The role of an educational institute in developing a leader is very important as USB globally acknowledges their students and make them for the world they are about to step into.
