It is stated from the findings that both the airports are following policies and regulations of the government.

Although the charges taken by the government is used solely for the benefit of the civil aviation industry, however, the government does not refrain to any airport authority from it (Tang, 2019). The government can increase or decrease these charges as per choice. It is fruitful if the government discussions about the increase in the charges before announcing anything in the market. Apart from this, both Changi and Honk Kong international airport has to also pay tax to the government. This tax is taken by it to increase the national and local economy of both countries. Hong Kong being the international airport has to face a proliferation of taxes in comparison to the Changi airport which is known as a civilian airport in the world.
Government of both countries has even come up with new regulatory arrangements that are it should take into account airport capacity and other interest. The AA must also not restrict airport proprietary. The company must also ensure that it has implemented ICAO standards, civil aviation regulation, director-general civil aviation and so on. The airport authority must coordinate with DGCA for safety assessment in major areas such as planning, infrastructure maintenance, changes of airport infrastructure and so on. Both the airlines need to undertake different operations like airside management, terminal management, safety management, quality management and so on (Jiang, 2016). Air transport liberalization has made it challenging for Hong Kong airport. On the other hand, it has been beneficial for Changi airport as it helped it to become one of the most connected airports. It is also found that the airports have to maintain economic regulation of the government that is Airport authority has to report the price charge on aeronautical services, facilities and other things. It has been noticed that Changi airport operates and plan as per the decision of the government (Henderson, 2017). During pandemic earlier the airport was following strict guidelines however now the government has eased travel between countries. However, some travellers have to go for home stray while others had to go for a test depending on which country they are arriving in Singapore. On the other hand, Honk Kong ask passengers their covid-19 test records. If the traveller fails to provide the document that he or she is imprisoned for six months and also had to pay a certain amount that is $10,000. The measures taken by AA are forced by the government.
There are other rules and regulations as well like airport act, noise reduction policy and so on. The AA is working on them to provide better results. It has been found that due to noise concern some of the aircraft are banned (Tang, 2019). This indicates that apart from general operations and planning the government has put regulations on many important areas where there is a need. The AA of both countries gets influenced by the policies and regulations of the government. Changi and Honk Kong airports are among the main drivers of the economy in the respective countries.
