The reflective journal will focus on conducting the critical study of the learning procedure of the overall research project (Quinlan et al. 2019). In this reflective journal, I will evaluate or reveal how I have progressed with the learning objective associated with business research. In addition, the entries will give indications of the overall process of attaining and apply the understanding of the research paradigm. Research can be defined as the procedure of a separate methodical attempt to answer a research problem or a set of the research question. I understood the research approach, quantitative study, uniqueness of quantitative research, qualitative research, and its individuality and mixed-method research. I achieve a major understanding of the research procedure and utilize the information in my research project i.e. the relevance of using big data in organizations.

I gained knowledge about the cause for conduct research i.e. gap in the literature, discrepancy amid studies, unanswered matter, and comprehend any theme. Additionally, I understand evidence-based supervision which is decisive to augment the administration practice. I also gained knowledge about the procedure of investigation which I applied in my project easily (McNiff 2016). I understand that no theoretical arrangement is exact and it is my assortment to inspect own ultimate approach and organize the research plan to best respond to the research question. I learned about a variety of research designs and process which are significant to carry out appropriate research. Along with this, I learned about the sort of legality and threats to inner and exterior validity. These research projects were also useful for me in preparing the research problem and arrange them for the study. Also, research design presents a blueprint for information compilation and examination (Howe et al. 2017).

Arranging and choosing the research theme is the first stage of the research project. The selection of my research subject was achieved by the brainstorming procedure which assisted me in creating and highlighting research thoughts. By the estimation of thoughts, I revealed my curiosity in the relevance of using big data in organizations (Coward 2018). In the subsequent pace of the project, I carry out secondary research to recognize and refining the research problem. I perform the body of literature by which I could have benefited from the further outcome. The literature was extremely insightful and afterward than the investigation, I decided to draft the research query for the overall study i.e. what is the relevance of big data in the organization? After this, I carry out a further brainstorming session to recognize additional research parts and conditions.

This decision was taken to comprehend the use and noteworthy impact of big data on the business process and this was probable by performing qualitative research. The approaches of both the study were very iterative and interactive. The mixed processes offer the extent to the effectual approach of data compilation in the future (Quinlan et al. 2019). In the quantitative process, I conducted the research by using the questionnaire with open-ended questions which was supportive for me to plan the quantitative research subject.

By this research technique, I was able to better recognize the procedure of achieving the noteworthy data for general study I learned about the procedure of the qualitative research system. As I am going to utilize both qualitative as well as qualitative techniques in the study as it was important to enhance the research work (McNiff 2016). The qualitative process is significant to collect a huge amount of information and this is the most important approach. As I was using the questionnaire technique in my study so I focused on this element and gained noteworthy data about the procedure of arranging questionnaires.

This analysis was supportive for me in framing the problem which I want to inquire from the respondents. I learned that the questionnaire can help in analyzing the different questions about big data in the research. Also, the layout and presentation of closed-ended questions are significant in the study. By this research technique, I was capable to better comprehend the procedure of attaining the noteworthy data for general study I used all my information and learning to carry out research of my project.
