Topic Selection

This assignment is the continuation part of business research that we have conducted on the topic the “use of big data in the business organisation”. The demand for big data in the business world is increasing immensely as it helps the organisation for prioritising and comprehending the needs of the customer. Big data refers to the wide ranges of information resources which lead to producing economic as well as advanced information processing that is incorporated to make effectual decisions in terms of automation of the organisation. Our motive to choose this topic is to highlight the priorities of the customers by adopting the big data and business organisation. The overall experience was amazing and I have learnt a lot of things from this research work. Now I have a tremendous amount of knowledge about the working of the organisation and the use of big data in order to prioritise the needs of customers in the organisation and they are the key stakeholders of the firm(Lv et al. 2016). We have started this research by collecting the information from various literature resources for example from Google scholar and many other sites. However, we have also gathered information from organisation’s data from their annual report etc. My contribution to this research project is to search the relevant data and write the literature review most effectively that it answers all the research questions effectively. However, I also discuss methods sampling that makes this research project more precise and relevant.

Personal Contribution to The Literature Review Report

My contribution to the literature review report is to search the proper methodology sampling techniques in order to make the report more relevant and justifiable. In order to collect the data I have gone through various literature reviews and conducted wide research in order to gather the appropriate information which is relevant for the research topic. I have gone through various papers and articles by different authors. Gather all the data from different companies which are using big data in their organisation to prioritise the customer's requirements and needs(Wamba et al. 2017). The whole experience was amazing and I have conducted various trial and error methods to get the most perfect research articles and then using sampling techniques that perfectly fit with the research work. However, all members equally contributed to this research work and without the help of each other, we can't make this project possible. Research questions that we have made are the benefits of big data analytics technology in business, factors that are responsible for implementing big data in business, the impact of big data on the competitive advantage of the business and the ways through which a firm can employ big data technology in their business. To answer these questions the more precise manner I have to search the literature review that particularly focuses on these questions. The main priority for me is to find the answers to these research questions in a more precise way so that we can get effective results at the end of the research.

Research Methodology Used

My contribution to the research methodology report is in decision making about the methods and sampling techniques questionnaire design is highly Proactive. The research hasconducted primary as well as secondary data collection method to collect the most appropriate data for the research work. It is very difficult to manage both the data selection methods simultaneously. The research philosophy that the study has used is the research philosophy as it is the most appropriate method to get a justifiable result at the end of the report. This philosophy is more suitable for this research work as compared to positivism research philosophy. The study has conducted primary as well as secondary research to have a deep understanding of the topic. Therefore we have divided the work accordingly to manage effectively. From this research, I have learnt a lot in terms of gaining knowledge from journals and the research that have conducted previously from different and well-known authors(Erevelles et al. 2016). From this research, the most difficult task is to gather data from primary sources as we have to take interviews and without any biases have to collect the data and make research answer more justifiable. However, it is also very difficult to convince participants for the interview and without their consent, we cannot precede this task. Also now I am capable of handling the research work and perform well and conducted the research effectively.

My Reflections on The Research Experience

In this research work, we have faced various ups and downs but we have managed to conduct the research very well. There are various challenges occurred from the collection of data to sampling and to consider all the ethics with that(Braganza et al. 2017). However, we always perform the task in a team and maintain the dignity and respect of all the team members in order to perform this research work. There are various members in this research work and we have a team of three members and we effectively perform the things very well. As a team, we have distributed work as per the interest of each member so that they can easily understand the research work and work accordingly. There are various challenges that I have faced in this research work as most of the time the data collection method is very difficult and in order to choose the sampling technique which is more relevant for research work is very difficult(Alharthi et al. 2107). Apart from this, selecting the most appropriate candidates for the interview is a bit tough task for this research. Furthermore from this research, I have found that big data has become one of an integral part of the organisation and it increasingly employed to gain enhanced insight into the perception of the customers. Now we can discuss the ways of implementing the big data and able to understand the working of data machines.

Section I Have Performed

In the entire research, we have segmented different sections to the team members and the section which I perform is to collect the most appropriate data and write the literature review for the research work. I have collected data from various papers of many different authors and understand their working and their perception towards the data process. However, to select the most appropriate papers and articles from the numbers amount of papers is a bit difficult task for me. I have applied different methods to select the most appropriate papers that easily answer research questions. However academic writing is a bit different task. But I have done tremendous research in order to effectively write this research. From this research work, I have gained an immense amount of knowledge about big data and its importance in the organisation (Pauleen and Wang 2017). However, we also came to know that Google and Yahoo are using this technique and they are maintaining the interaction and fulfilling all the requirements of the customers. We also came to know that many other organisations need to address this technique in their organisation that acts to increase productivity as well as customer satisfaction. The entire journey was extremely knowledgeable and challenging for me and I have gained immense knowledge and understanding of big data in the business organisation.
