Internship Proposal in Marketing Sector

To attain a career in marketing, I am especially interested in improving my networking skills. I believe that with my interests in starting my own business, I will be able to ultimately achieve a successful marketing career in this field. As a career aspiration I would like to become an expert in the marketing field. The internship as an assistant sales officer will help me to earn a certificate for the field. It would like to learn about closing more and more sales which is one of the main objectives of marketing.

After completing my graduation, I will have a number of options for my career. Either I can go for further education or I can pursue a course in digital marketing which is one of the growing fields nowadays. I have decided to take up a course for digital marketing. It will help me to develop effective social media strategies which can assist the clients to search novel ways for marketing the business. I am suitable for this role as I have strong written and verbal communication abilities. Also, I have decent interpersonal skills which will help me to form long lasting relationships. This course will help me to increase me confidence in the future job. A career in digital marketing is very diverse which has place for those persons who are willing to try creative things and earn out of the box.

The three main things which I wish to acquire from working in this internship are:

1. Networking: This is one of the main steps to become an effective sales officer. During internship, it is required to make most of it. It will help to make new friends as well as widening the professional network.

2. New and enhancedabilities and how to use them: There will be various learnings which will be gained from the internship which includes the knowledge for completing the tasks and sharpening skills. This internship will help in testing my skills which are developed and check how they work in the real world.

3. Take constructive criticism well: It is well known that no one likes to be criticized during the evaluation of the performance. It is possible that with the help of this internship a constructive criticism can be received about some of my mistakes. It will be taken in a positive sense for my personal improvement and growth.

The overall goal of completing an internship is to gain a real-world experience which will enable meto put the whole learning into action. The purpose of this internship is to gain abilities which can be applied in the future jobs. Also, the aim behind pursuing this internship is to master the technical skills, getting required background information, learninginterpersonal or soft skills and mainly building network or connection of contacts. With the help of this internship I will gain numerous experiences which will help me to become more competitive in my future job. Mainly, it will help me to know about my actual interests and assist in observing that the chosen field is worth for me.

The main areas which I strive to develop my skills and understanding are:

1. Negotiation skills: This skill will help me to learn about how two or more parties come to a compromise. It will include skills like persuasions, communication, strategizing and cooperation’s. It will help me to become a strong negotiator.

2. Interpersonal skills: It will help me to develop strong working relationships with the clients which will increase productivity.

3. Numeracy and analytical ability: This skill will help me to learn to gather, visualize and examine information in detail. This will also help me to view the problem from different angles and will assist in solving complicated problems by effective decision making.
