What is Emotional Intelligence?
Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage and identify the emotion of oneself or others’. Emotional intelligence consists of emotional awareness, ability to identify own emotions, ability name the emotion, ability to manage emotion, ability to harness emotions, integrating emotion in thinking and solving the problem. Some of the traits of an emotionally intelligent person are:

Leadership is a great skill that one can possess, everyone has a desire to lead others, but to lead others it requires leadership quality. Some people are naturally good at leading others, but it is not the case with everyone. The person who has poor leadership often lacks emotional intelligence, but the best part is that these can be learned and develop. This workshop is one such place where people can learn and hone their leadership quality integrated with emotional intelligence. Leaders are the one who has the ability to communicate their thoughts &idea to influence them and to make them follow him. The leaders help out his team member when they are in trouble. The leaders show the path to others but what makes others follow him is the emotional intelligence of the leader. Therefore, most of the good leaders are those who communicate their ideas and thoughts by using emotional intelligence.

All the attendees shall be provided with a pen and a writing pad
9:00 am to 9:15 am
All the attendees will be welcomed and will gather at the workshop for their attendance. Thereafter, The coach will address a speech briefly introducing the objectives, workshop activities and its significance.
9:00 am to 9:15 am
Once the coach will finish the introduction. All the attendees will be asked to interact with each other to break the ice and to make themselves comfortable with each other. Afterwards, each of them will come to the podium and will give a short introduction about them and their background. During this introduction session, our volunteer will observe their speech, their confidence and the effectiveness in their speech. This assessment will be taken to understand the weakness and strength of the attendees.
9.35 am to 9:45 am
At the beginning of this activity, our coach will explain the emotional intelligence and its significance for developing an effective leadership quality. During the session the coach will also ask the attendees regarding their views on emotional intelligence and what do they know about this. This will make the attendees engaged with the coach and activity since it will be the beginning of the workshop so all the activities that will be carried on will be easy and engaging that will encourage them to move slightly toward the complex activity.
9:45 am to 10:15 am
This time the attendees shall be provided with an assessment sheet that will include the questions regarding the speech delivered by the coach. They will have to answer each of the questions given in the sheet. This will assess their listening comprehension and it will also include questions that will ask them to answer their perspective on emotional intelligence and leadership, what are their major hurdles in acting like a leader and similar others.
10:15am to 10:30am
This activity will focus on Emotional quotients, Intelligence quotients and Emotional intelligence and what is the relation among them. In this activity, they will be given a handout stating all three topics briefly. In the end, they will be asked to write in their own words about the difference and the similarity in these.
10:30 am to 10:50 am break time- the attendees will be provided with the refreshments.
10:50am to 11:15am
Another coach will take this session. This coach will be an expert in leadership consulting and coaching. The coach will give a speech on leadership and its significance. This speech will include the anecdote, learnings from other books and some popular effective leader personalities. The following topics will be covered in this.

Once the session will be over the attendees will be given a chance to ask for any query or doubts. The coach will give answers to them one by one.
11:15am to 12:00pm
This activity will be based on emotional intelligence in a broader term. The first coach will come and deliver a long speech on emotional intelligence and its subsets. The attendees will be explained about the applicability of each component of emotional intelligence that will include

12:00pm to 1:00pm Lunchtime. The lunch will be provided by the organizer, all the attendees will sit in a group of ten at each dining table. This will let them know each other and have a little conversation over lunch.
1:00pm to 2:00pm
All the attendees will gather at the hall. Now they sit in the group of ten, including all the members with whom they had lunch. Now they will be shown some videos on leadership, emotional intelligence and use of emotional intelligence in leadership quality development.

Afterwards, they will need to in 100 words on each of the topics and their answers will be collected
2:00pm to 2:30pm
Now in this activity, they will prepare a skit and will play roles in that. All the 10 members will be a part of the team or group. Each group will elect one leader. They will be given 20 minutes to prepare the skit and will have to submit a synopsis of the same.
2:30pm to 4:00pm
Now each of the group will be allocated 10 minutes for their skit. They will have to show their learning in that skit. Once the skit will over, they will be given a feedback form that will ask their experience and learning at the workshop and what value did it add.
End of the workshop with refreshment.
Through this workshop, I wish to accomplish the overall theoretical knowledge and some practical approach to use emotional intelligence in one’s day to day life. The workshop focuses on the four core areas to give the attendees a great experience of these areas and the four areas are as follows: the significance of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, leadership and use of emotional intelligence in effective leadership. The attendees of the workshop will get an opportunity to explore the potential of emotional intelligence and how they can use to gain numerous benefits. All the attendees will indulge in numerous activities that ensure they get exposed to every essential knowledge and training regarding this domain. Moreover, it will teach the attendees to use emotional intelligence in some of the most crucial situations of life. The participant will accomplish a journey that will be full of useful and beautiful sights and will remain forever in their mind as the memory that they will never forget. After attending this program the attendees will have a fair idea of the concept of emotional intelligence and when and where and how to use their emotional intelligence. Moreover, they will be able to better implement the learnt lesson at every stage of their life and call themselves emotional intelligent. They will find that they have learnt about the communication, influence, negotiation, leadership and emotions in its true form. The leadership lesson taught here will give them basic traits of good leadership and how they should behave to become an effective leader among their peers or group. The attendees will be able to perform better in their career or at the workplace as well as in their personal relationship.
