Assessment 1: Discussion Forum Post

Ethics is the backbone for making any decision in the workplace. I have observed good ethics as well as some ethical issues in Pizza Hut. I always ensure that my decision should not harm anyone. The ethical values of a person change with the experience he gets from the outside world. Ethics influences the decision making of a person (Hooker, 2018). I believe that ethics reflect fairness, honesty, and integrity in decision making. I have observed that good ethics should be adopted by companies for future growth and development. The major ethical issues are related to food adulteration. I believe that it is an unethical practice and I have also tried to communicate this problem with my superior. 

 I have considered some alternative actions to stop this unethical practice. The alternative action includes communicating the problem with quality check department. I also provide some suggestion to resolve the unethical practice in the workplace. According to me, the person working in the food department is able to reduce adulteration practices. The proper quality check should be done by the authorized person to reduce the unethical practices. I have considered some good ethics when I take this decision. One of the main things that I consider is not to blame anyone for the mistake. The ethical framework focus on providing an ethical standard in the workplace (Stewart, 2018). The utilitarian approach and the rights approach helped me in taking an ethical decision. By using the utilitarian approach I have learned that we should not harm anyone with our decision. On the other hand, the right approach has helped me in communicating the major issue of adulteration with my superior.
