This question is regarding my leadership, in the past 18 years, I managed senior IT Staff reporting directly to me and I was responsible for operational delivery of IT managed services across a large, dispersed and densely populated geographical area. I have managed this through:
4 – 6 weekly Joint Review meetings with every member of my team
Appraisals which are carried out once a year and this provides myself and the staff member an opportunity to reflect on performance, Training and development, and this is a standing agenda item in every Joint Review meetings.
I always ensured a programme of cyclical visits to area offices and sub-projects to maintain contact and develop relationships with all levels of staff and clients (residents) across the organisation. I aim to be accessible to all staff when I am needed.
I have extensive experience of staff investigation and disciplinary as well as grievance hearings.
