The mental health problems with the ongoing pandemic COVID-19 originates from ‘normal’ individuals being exposed to ‘unexpected conditions’. The main claim is to study the mental health issues aroused due to COVID-19 outbreak. The claim is in favour of the statement that this pandemic is undoubtedly leading to create mental illness among individuals all over the globe.

Husky, Kovess-Masfety, & Swendsen (2020) stated that confinement strategies that adverse impact on the students’ mindset and it exacerbates the social inequalities in the universities. The study by Son et al. (2020) showed that the negative impacts of COVID -19 among college-going students were due to the depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and more. Additionally, Savage et al. (2020) also were of the view that this pandemic is negatively impacting the mental health of individuals around the world. They showed that females, students, and adults were greatly impacted during the period as they do not robust emotional balance. Stress and anxiety issues were found to be among employees and students. The study by Sahu (2020) demonstrated the impacts of pandemic on the mental illness of students and academic staff with the closure of universities. It suggested that there have been increased stress and pressure on academic staff to adopt novel ways of teaching and evaluation (Greenberg et al., 2020).

The main argument is to study the mental health issues aroused due to COVID-19 outbreak. It can be concluded that the COVID-19 outbreak is proved to be havoc for all the individuals all across the globe.
