Conceptual framework

The conceptual framework used in the Gallup Strengths Finder is the Clifton StrengthsFinder. This tool stems from neuroscience. It aims to identify and study the development, structure, and genetics of the brain (Busch & Davis, 2018). I acknowledged that it is imperative because it assists in the process of assessing an individual’s personality. It assists an individual in identifying the way the decisions are made and how the positive areas can be further improved (Royal & Huckel, 2019). It has the motive to study the brain's response to certain stimuli. This tool is based on the general model of Positive Psychology (Busch & Davis, 2018). It is aimed at building an individual’s competency and enhancing personal goals. It is crucial because it measures the concurrent and persistent patterns of thoughts, behaviour, and feelings.  

Description of results

From the results obtained through the analysis, the prime one was the zeal to outstand. I want to be independent and be recognized for my capabilities. This strength basically iterates around being rewarded and being noticed among others. Another key strength identified was the ability to build good relationships. This strength assists in building good bonds with teammates and friends to archive a communal goal. Restorative nature is another key identified strength. This strength is closely associated with the ability to deal with the problems and figuring out the major pitfalls. Empathy is associated with identifying the issues that others face in a group by imagining themselves in their shoes (Davis, 2018). Arranging is another key strength that assists an individual in organizing and maximizing the output.

Initial reactions

When I came to know about my strengths, I was initially astounded. This is so because I was not cognizant that I do possess them. I was aware that I am an empathetic person as I believe in uniting the team by acknowledging the issues faced by the subordinates or the team members. I also comprehended that I have the zeal to outstand among others. But I never knew that this could turn out as a strength. I felt blissful that it is my strength and it could accelerate me to perform better. This strength can be justified from the fact that after attending my classes, I used to make sure that I refer to journals and articles to gain more knowledge on the subject so that I outstand in exams and assignments. I was surprised to know that I was a good arranger. I made sure to further elevate my strength. Restorative strength astounded me as I earlier thought that I panic at intricate circumstances. This result was inconsistent with the feedbacks that I have received from my colleagues. As earlier, I used to panic a lot when my projects were not completed on time. Building good relationships has always been my plus point and acknowledging it as my strength pleased me. This was consistent with the feedback that I received from my colleagues, as in group projects, I used to amalgamate with the team members effectively. 

Initial thoughts on implications

For enhancing my current and future effectiveness, I can make sure to further improve my ability to build relationships by indulging in virtuous listening and simultaneously strengthening my emphatic skills by recording and giving feedback. Restorative nature can be improved by demonstrating effective communication skills and strengthening team participation. This will improve my decision-making skills and will be beneficial for future leadership maneuvers. The strength of outstanding can be enhanced by cultivating a sense of being valued among the team by valuing their opinions.
