Executive Summary of The Future of Leadership Development

The whole topic will discuss my leadership quality and approaches. It will discuss my role, responsibility, and leadership challenges that I have faced. It will also discuss the key aspects of leadership. The feedback I have got will be discussed also. The concept of the great man theory will be discussed properly.

Introduction to The Future of Leadership Development

This assessment will reflect my experience in a leadership position. Self-development means my quality, skills, potentiality, talents, and many more. Being a good leader, I should have all these capacities inside myself. Self-development helps to build our dreams and fulfill them with great effort. It helps me to prosper in my life. I can help other members of my team through the self-development process (Daniëls, Hondeghem, & Dochy 2019). It will help them to improve their career, knowledge, and their lifestyle in any workplace. I have observed one thing based on my experience that a good leader is always a good learner.

Role, Responsibility, and Leadership Challenges

My current role in my organization is as a team leader in the development and manufacturing section. In my opinion, before coming to this stage I have tried to be a good learner. It's because if you don’t learn the basic attributes of a leadership position, you can not hold the position. All the difficulties should be removed by the leadership quality. This assessment will reflect my view as a leader to spread self-awareness among the team members.

There are various responsibilities of mine as a leader. These are:

i) I have to observe all activities of my team.

ii) I have to develop a plan for the team for better progress

There are various challenges I have faced in my role. These are:

i) There are many difficult people in my team.

ii) The working environment has a lot of pressure to progress.

iii) I have faced lots of communication issues at my position.

Key Aspects of Leadership

Being a leader, there are lots of aspects I have to follow to lead the team. Every person has a role model in their life to achieve success. I am influenced by the great leader A.P.J Abdul Kalam. The leadership quality, talents, personality, and knowledge of the man has influenced me very much in my working field (Moldoveanu, & Narayandas, 2019). He was a true leader and had perfect leadership qualities. He has influenced the whole world through his work for the nation. I have always maintained one thing called discipline and that is the key point of my success as a leader. I always take one or more projects if time permits in order that I can improve my working speed and can influence my team members to work properly within the correct time duration. I always inspire other team members in order that no one becomes demotivated and leaves the work. I always try to solve any difficult situation in a good and pleasant manner, not by any conflict and others. I always keep my learning with my leadership work and always suggest to the members to keep learning beside the work in order that we can learn various new information

Interpretation of The Result

As per the results through the Gallup Strengthsfinder, I am ranked high on the characteristic Adaptability. I always understand situations when it occurs and try to solve the difficulties through an effective and proper way with my leadership quality. This characteristic helps to overcome uncertain situations (Feser, Nielsen, & Rennie, 2017). This flexible characteristic is important because, in order to improve and progress, there has to be change and adaptability supports the change. The result of Gallup helped me to improve my basic skills of leadership. The result can be used accordingly to develop strategies aligning with these characteristics. During my group assessments, these characteristics will be helpful. Being able to work on any topic given, coming up with ideas to creatively present the topic, putting my opinion towards the way of a successful leader. The result is important because, in order to improve and progress, there has to be change and adaptability supports the change. This is the interpretation of the result of Gallup Strengthsfinder and that will help to achieve success for the team members as well as the organization. The result of Gallup helped me to improve my basic skills of leadership. The result can be used accordingly to develop strategies aligning with these characteristics.

I have received much feedback from my team members and outsiders also that will help us in our future works. I always observe all activities of my team and develop a plan for the team for better progress. I always distribute all the relevant information to the team members and influence the members to achieve the goal. I receive lots of good feedback about my leadership work from team members and other people. I have always maintained and kept a physiological safe environment in the working place. Most of the good feedback is about my leadership style and capability of controlling the whole area with a single hand. I follow the authoritative leadership style. It is the mark of confident leaders and their leadership work. This leadership style allows all the members of the team to perform together in an effective and proper way. The feedback givers have always praised me for the effectiveness and interpersonal skills of my leadership quality. I have maintained my social skills with the team and other people by improving the communication skill of mine. I always prefer a good relationship with all the people inside and outside the organization (Haslam et al., 2017). Many trusted sources of the organization have given good feedback about my leadership quality and style. It is a great honor of mine that they have influenced my leadership quality and that is my aim to influence everyone with leadership quality. All the positive feedback helps me to improve my skills and leadership quality in order that I can remove my faults and progress in life. Positive feedback helps motivation, boosts confidence, and shows people you value them. Positive feedback always improves the individual work as well as team and organizational work also. It is the mark of confident leaders and their leadership work. This leadership style allows all the members of the team to perform together in an effective and proper way. Positive feedback helps motivation, boosts confidence, and shows people you value them. Positive feedback always improves the individual work as well as team and organizational work also. It is the mark of confident leaders and their leadership work. This leadership style allows all the members of the team to perform together in an effective and proper way. The feedback will help to identify the mistakes and help to remove those mistakes and progress in life. It has a similarity with stage performers. They get feedback from the audiences and improve their performances and that helps them to perform better in the future. The feedback encourages them to perform better. All the feedback helps me to expand my future plan for my leadership. I have decided to carry on my leadership in a new and effective way to give better solutions for the team and for the organization. All the feedback helps me to improve my working ability and time management of my work. The feedback helps me to influence the whole team very much. I have decided to change some of my tactics as a leader for the working team. I have decided to divide all the team members into various groups. So, these are the implications of feedback I have got from the employees, team members as well as other people also. This feedback will always be my key point of success throughout my career as a good leader.

Theory and Conceptual Framework

There are lots of leadership theories to improve the growth of the career. I have applied a theory of leadership throughout the report. The theory is called ‘The great man theory’. It is a leadership theory that will help to improve leadership quality and working ability. In this theory, it is stated that the leaders are born, not developed. This theory was developed in the 19th century and it is said that leadership is a genuine quality to control the working environment of an organization or any other place. This type of leader generally follows the natural attributes of intelligence, courage, confidence, intuition, and charm, among others. It is said that some people are born with some special activities or qualities which differ from other people. As per the theory, it helps me to achieve the aim by removing all the barriers and drawbacks of the working environment. The ideas and key points of this theory help me a lot to improve my leadership quality and approaches (Griffith, Baur, & Buckley, 2019). I have learned various techniques to control the whole team and influence all the employees and team members in order that they can complete their respective works within the given time duration. The great man theory helps me to decide to divide all the team members into various groups. So, these are the implications of feedback I have got from the employees, team members as well as other people also. This theory will always be my key point of success throughout my career as a good leader. The great man theory helps me to progress by removing all the barriers and challenges discussed above. It helps me to influence the team members in an effective and easier way in order that the employees and team members to get influenced and continue their work effectively. So, I have implemented the great man theory and follow the rules and key factors of this theory. This theory helps me a lot to be a good and successful leader. My idol A.P.J Abdul Kalam had followed this theory also. That’s why I have chosen this theory and I think it is suitable for me to progress in my life. As per the theory, it helps me to achieve the aim by removing all the barriers and drawbacks of the working environment.

Conclusion on The Future of Leadership Development

Throughout the topic. I have discussed my leadership quality and approaches. The topic has included my role, responsibilities, and leadership challenges. I have applied the great man theory that helps me very much for the success of my career. It helps me to prosper in my life. I can help other members of my team through the self-development process.
