The alignment of innovative information technology and systems have added a greater value in terms of driving modern organisational growth under the lights of technological advancements in recent times. The prime purpose of this report is to critically evaluate the relational prospects of cloud based information systems. However, the cloud refers to a centralised location on the internet which is ultimately utilised in order to store data by making the data accessible in anytime and anywhere from any connected devices. the prime advantage of cloud based business information systems reflects on providing the facility of regular interaction between an organisational workers and consumers. Moreover the conceptualization of flexibility is also considered as another benefit of cloud based information systems in a business context. In this concern, the potential challenges in terms of improving a cloud based business information system have been provided in this report with respect to the business scenario. Several challenges can be notified behind the alignment of cloud-based information systems in a business in which the security issues are considered as top most concern in the recent past. Moreover, the lack of expertise had been another voiced cloud challenge. Apparently lack of proper IT governance might also create a potential barrier in terms of operating the cloud based information systems within an organisational business prospects. On the other hand, the management of multiple clouds might also create a risk factor which might also affect the overall performance of the cloud based information system. However, most of the companies are notified to be suffering from inadequate robust cloud adoption strategy. As a result of this different integration and maturation issues can be notified related to the ad hoc security configuration, lack of shared standards from the perspective of isolated cloud projects and lack of cross team shared resources and learnings. Different secondary research papers are referred to in order to disclose these challenges behind the formation of cloud based business information systems.
Apart from that the overall performance of cloud based information systems will also be evaluated on the basis of the given challenging aspects. In order to critically evaluate the prospects of cloud based information systems performance, the innovation diffusion theory of Rogers has been considered. That theory delivers a concrete foundation in terms of understanding the adoption of innovation along with the influential factors regarding the alignment of innovation. In this context the preference of cloud based information systems within an organisational business can be conceptualized under the shape of different theoretical attributes including relational advantage, complexity, compatibility, trialability and observability. Along with this the concerns based adoption model of Hall's will be implemented in this report in accordance with the assumptions of change management. According to this theory the alignment of cloud-based information systems can be justified under the shape of technological advancement or change within an organisational service prospects. Moreover, the technology acceptance model of Davis will also be preferred in this report in order to critically disclose the expectations and attitude of a potential innovation adopter. In this concern different types of cloud based information systems have also been evaluated in terms of notifying their performance and application in the real world. However, the insights of infrastructure as a service, platform as a service and software as a service will be critically evaluated. Lastly, the report has also included an overall summary in terms of gathering the overall findings achieved from this report.
The report limitation can be notified by referring to the concept of evidence-based analysis and evaluation of different cloud based business information systems with reference to a practical business scenario.
