Nurse enters into a relaxing phase after completing their undergraduate exams and stepping into a novice role of a graduate registered nurse. The transition phase from a graduate nurse to a registered nurse is crucial, however, can be smooth for some nurses (Stublin & Catherine, 2018) The new role of graduate registered nurses is headed by a lot of clinical practice and responsibilities and many of them often face stress as a major elemental issue. The new nurse needs to work for longer hours while managing both the professional and personal space as well. The role of a new graduate nurse requires a more practical attitude and eventually needs to manage patients single-handedly (Wong et al., 2018). Work overload and continuous pressure create a space for confusion and stress which creates a space for confusion, impacting their everyday work, and forms a part of the patient outcome as well. Senior registered nurses and teamwork will help them to improve their time management skills and support during everyday tasks. Night shifts create is the reason which creates physical and mental disturbances in new graduate registered nurse as their previous nursing practice is relaxing and supported by registered nurses. In modern healthcare systems, shift workers are the creators and victims at the same time (Dogui, & Mrizak, 2014). The continued night shift can trigger various issues like disturbed sleeping resulting in, confusion, dilemma, and various during their practice. The continued night shifts add more confusion in the new role of a graduate registered nurse. The increased confusion and lack of time management can directly impact the quality of care for the patient. In this case, the nurse fails to create the documentation of the new patient which is an essential part of nursing practice to evaluate, assess, and recommend strategies for improved patient outcomes. Maintaining health records is a growing concept in the healthcare systems that focus to collect all the medical health records of the individual patient for improving health quality. This will reflect all the interventions, nursing assessment, changes in medication, and care which can be used to improve patient lives in the future. Documentation is an important legal requirement of the nursing profession. The NMBA guidelines standard 1.6 defines every nurse profession should maintain the medical records and assessments for patient safety. In this case, the new registered nurse fails to timely document the health records of the patient reflecting the unprofessional behavior of the nurse which can later impact the patient life (Struik, 2014). Documenting health records provides medical data and information of patients to authorized users. On the other hand, healthcare departments can face various legal and ethical challenges if the nurse fails to save the medical health record of the patient. It means documenting the record is the only way to prove your work and this practice should be adopted by new graduate registered nurses for resolving any issue related to the treatment process (Silva et al.,2020).

Moreover, the new registered nurse fails to provide care to the new patient who was complaining of pain on admission (Stevens,2015). The failure to do so can be a result of improper patient handling and new confusion due to poor time management skills. every nursing practitioner are accountable for their decisions and actions cannot be delegated and in some case, the nurses are hand covering accountability, the other person should show the same level of accountability as a part of work handover standard (NMBA,2020). The NMBA guideline states it is the ethical duty of every nursing professional to provide equal care to every patient (NMBA,2019). This mindful is not taught however, nurses adapt it consequently during their clinical practice, however, the in this case the new registered nurse failed to provide care to the new patient owing to a lack of practical experience along with the existing confusion of the new professional role (Silva,2020). Effective caring demands to provide immediate care for improved patient outcomes. Knowledge and training in new graduate nurses focus to develop a sense of responsibility by knowing the value of care for patient safety and wellbeing

Use of Technology and Skills for Improved Patient Outcomes

The new role of registered is a more responsible profession as compared to the graduate nurse. The transition adds more accountability to their work which needs to be mentor effectively as this will directly affect patient safety (Aggara et al., 2018). The new graduate nurse has not much experience of using the advanced technological tools that can make their everyday work easy and smooth and one of the important tools is the use of electronic health records. The tool can help the nurse to avoid the process of effective documentation. The electronic health record is a modern way to digitally record all the patient records which will further help to plan effective care for improving their health outcomes. They can save the medical information which is patient-centered and provides data in real-time and will protect the confidentiality of the patient as well. (Royal children's hospital Melbourne, n.d). The patient information has been digitalized in the advanced healthcare systems which forms a communication way in identifying, assessing, quality of care, clinical decision making, and service management. The digital health records will help the nurses to justify the autonomy bio-ethics of the patient as well.

Communication in healthcare settings is meant for understanding the verbal and non-verbal thoughts of the patients. The role of effective communication leads to a strong patient-nurse relationship. End-stage care is provided in terminally end patients to achieve goals of patient output which aids to perk up life quality of patients and their families as well. However, the nurse was not aware of the ways to provide end-stage care which can increase the risk to the patient (WHO, 2020). End-stage care is particularly centered on life threatening diseases and aims to improve patient outcomes by providing palliative physical, mental, and emotional care as well. Several strategies are designed for effective end-stage care. To improve the quality of care new registered nurses should adopt communication guidelines. Effective communication during the end-stage is essential and creates a strong therapeutic relationship that encourages effective care in hospital settings (WHO, 2020). Also, a lack of teamwork in the nursing practice will lead to various challenges and impact the care delivery process. The lack of familiarity, large unit size, and instability of work are the barriers associate with the role of the new graduate nurse. Also, the continuity of the rotational shifts (night and day shifts) impacts the work quality of the new graduate nurse. Teamwork plays an important role in the new nursing professional as it will reduce the smooth everyday work for improved patient outcomes. The proper use of the handover tool is an important way that will help the nurses to reduce the burden leading to effective care.

Capacity Building in New Registered Nurse

The nurses during their graduate phase work under the leadership of their senior nurses which reduces the risk to the patients although, the role of a new registered nurse is filled with responsibilities of safety and care for improved patient outcomes. The new graduate nurses work in terms of quality care with the pressure of performance which needs to be mentored properly to improve practical knowledge among new registered nurses properly (Walker &Pruitt,2016). Time management skills and clinical knowledge based on evidence-based experience are the main factors helping new registered nurses to neutralize the impact of the new professional role. The training was provided to individual nurse practitioners covering all the important chapters of leadership skills (Machado et al.,2015). This will enhance the practical and theoretical knowledge of nurses which will help to achieve effective care goals in future clinical practices. Mentors must timely evaluate the new using a self-assessment tool which includes three main processes like self-reinforcement, self-evaluation, and self-monitoring followed by setting behavioral goals per day for medication and care adherence. Mentors can create simulation sessions based on clinical practice which will improve the practical and information. These simulations will support the new nurses to utilized theoretical knowledge during future clinical practice (Handley et al.,2015). The use of these interventions helps nurses to advance their knowledge by improving decision-making capabilities and clinical reasoning with the changing healthcare systems.

The healthcare professionals including new registered nurse registered and skilled nurses participate and work within the regulatory guidelines for effective safety outcomes. Senior nurses should focus to upgrade major actions that need to be followed by every nursing practioner and include, culture and leadership, partnership with the patient, organizational system, communication, evaluating, and reporting. Time management is an important factor that supports the nurses to effectively justify their new role of a graduate registered nurse. Time management aims to provide quality work towards the safety and wellbeing of patients Time management qualities in new graduate nurses will help them to identify the deteriorating condition of patients to start an arranged care (Gloria,2016). Rotational shifts for a new graduate nurse will interfere with their everyday work and lead to less interaction with their family and society. These rotations of the shifts are always troublesome for the nurses which impact greatly their mental health and wellbeing (Black et al.,2015). Workload and pressure during the night shifts generally direct towards stress and anxiety. The healthcare organization is responsible and must support new junior nurses to overcome their stress owing to rotational shifts. The new graduate nurse should manage time will help them to create a balance between personal and professional life. Education provided by seniors plays an important role in improving the practical knowledge of new nurses that help in their smooth transition process.
