The nurses are expected to use their critical thinking skills to understand the gap in the care that can be addressed by the change or innovation to improve quality of care. The article presented by Thomas et al. (2016) discussed that innovation in healthcare is important to maintain the demand and supply of care services. Nurses are expected to actively engage in the changes that are necessary to improve the perspective of the care which is more person-centric which lead to better patient recovery. The study was supported by Yılmaz (2015) by adding that nursing skills and knowledge are the key aspects to judge the care process that needs to be changed to improve the clinical practice concerning the patient requirement. The innovation allows the nurse to utilize the new and better clinical practise or technology to improve the care. These changes and innovation help the health care sector to address the new issue and disorder by decreasing the burden over the patient.
