For this question, a qualitative study is conducted with an inductive research approach. Interpretivism is the most suitable paradigm because the followers of interpretivism use the experiences for constructing and interpreting the understanding of the data (Pham, 2018). This is because randomized control trials and surveys are conducted with the patients that undergo music therapy to evaluate/measure outcomes like improved cognitive, behavioral, and other skills in dementia patients. This music therapy is used as a non-pharmacological approach that has no side effects and is easy to implement for dementia patients.
