Reflection on presentation and its application on my future

This presentation helped a lot to know more about the intravenous devices and their administrations. The presentation discussed briefly the factors that result in the failure of catheters – phlebitis, blockage, and accidental removal. This knowledge can also help in my practice, as this will help in reducing the infection and another complication s in patients due to the administrations of intravenous devices. The information about medical-grade superglue and mechanical securement devices will help in providing safe and quality care to my patients.

Women with depression: making meaning and decision about electro-convulsive therapy. A feminist perspective.

Description of topics covered in research presentation

As this presentation is about the research of the presenter, so presentation discusses its methodology, coercion, and related feelings faced by female participants in the study and memory loss due to electro-convulsive therapy.

Reflection on presentation and its application on my future

This presentation helps me to know about various points of healthcare practice that are very important for the safety and quality care of depressed females. Through the presentation, I realized that the informed consent of the patient is very important in health care practices and I also realized that female patients have high levels of depression then they should be prescribed with strong medications. This will also help in my future as I will encourage depressed women not to feel pathologically ill and trust their healthcare professionals in their treatments. I will also ensure that the patient does not suffer from any negative outcome with her treatment therapies. However, if the patient gets memory loss issues due to electro-convulsive therapy then effective medical care is delivered.

Description of topics covered in research presentation

The presentation discussed the concerns and complications that are faced by young adults due to their type 1 diabetes in adulthood like daily injection administrations, psychosocial issues, diet concerns, and information about the research like aim and methodology.

Reflection on presentation and its application on my future

This presentation taught me about the psychosocial concerns, diet concerns, injection administration concerns that are faced by young diabetic adult patients as well as his/her family. In the future, I will ensure to encourage the patients and their family members so that they do not feel stress or burdened about the disease and educate them with my learning, skills, and experience about signs, symptoms, medications, self-management, and other information of the disease. This will help the patient to become independent for his/her medication administrations and self-monitoring to control the health deterioration risks.
