Mental health is the psychological wellness standard or lack of mental disorder. It is also the state of somebody who "functions satisfactorily at a behavioral and emotional level." Through an individual's viewpoint of mental illness, rehabilitation involves gaining and maintaining hope, having an awareness of one's abilities and limitations, participating in an active social life, and achieving individual freedom, social identification, significance and meaning in life, and a healthy sense of identity (Schaefer et al., 2017). Mental health professionals are no better at recognizing comorbid symptoms than most professionals.
