Operations Management helps in transformation through quality products to satisfy and helps in retaining customers. Quality is essential for both profit and non-profit organizations. Quality Management should be applied, I believe that organization should be customer-centric and focus oriented for delivering high-quality products. I find it challenging when operational quality is not met with quality systems, just the case with HMT watches which led to their depletion on non-up-gradation. According to Teixeira (2020) supports implementing a system that increases product quality. TQM supports decision making by a performance measurement system for influencing company behavior. My assertion is supported by Aulakh (2020) that an organization should make a trustworthy bond with the customer as service is primary
My personal experience of failure with academics entails that decision delay increases the risk of missing opportunities. The external influence affects the final decision (Marchau, 2019). Effective decision making can be taken through Risk analysis, decision theory, and preference theory. Decision without data has a higher probability of failure. Uncertainty shows limited knowledge and to reduce the same strong judgment skill should be developed. Kirti (2020) highlights risk relating to decision delay which is economic, strategic, and tactical, they affect the customer sentiment and production capacity. I believe the rational decision-making process for each situation will help in taking optimum decisions. The strategic management and control system will reduce decision risk bias (Teixeira, 2020). I agree with (Kumar, 2020) that decision that strategic and operational efficiency will be disrupted due to productions hampering, threats to stakeholders. I agree with the basic assumption of equal employment opportunities laws. In my observation, the recruitment system flawed and it discriminates based on race, culture. The diverse workforce will help in brainstorming ideas and an increase in knowledge acumen for empowering marginalized people by focusing on corporate culture and creativity through the company platform (Cho, 2017). I learned that diversity training, laws will teach diversity by continuing to educate them in this aspect. According to (Nadela, 2020) an organization has to commit to resolving their differences for potential growth. However major challenges can be in small businesses due to changes in demographics. New training will lead to an increase in cost due to employing new talent impacting the business model (Thotathuvilakam, 2020). Cultural competence will develop group dynamics for behavioral understanding and improvement in productivity. In my opinion workforce diversity can help developing a successful organization.
