1 What ethical behaviors should a leader demonstrate if they want to be a positive role model
In order to become a positive role model, a leader must demonstrate ethical behavior and a sense of fairness for his/her followers (Miles et al., 2018). Certain qualities or ethical behavior like integrity, humanity, respect for others, fairness, value-driven decision-making ability makes a leader a positive role model for followers.
Integrity is one of the virtues that must be present among ethical leaders. Being honest towards people and their work is one quality that followers look for in their role models. Dishonesty not only destroys the image of a leader but makes them a failed leader
Being human is one of the most essential traits of leaders who are ethical. Ethical leaders are known for being sympathetic and empathetic towards their followers. Further, ethical leaders act in such a fashion that is favorable for the team. This is possible because an ethical leader uses all six senses that are present in humans.
Respecting people irrespective of their job role or position within the company is the basic criteria to become an ethical leader. An ethical leader does not discriminate between followers based on their position or potential and holds equal respect for everyone and their job.
An ethical leader never supports an individual or group rather concentrate on developing team working ability through fairness. Ethical leaders do not demonstrate biased behavior.
Generating value for organizations while ensuring employee growth is a part of leadership objectives. Ethical leaders ensure that any and every decision that based and meets the organization's goal is implemented.

2. What is a personal development plan (PDP) Outline the key elements of a PDP
Personal development plan (PDP) is an action plan based on reflection, goal setting, awareness, and values with the aim of self-improvement within the context of professional, educational, and relationship development (Rimmer, 2018). The key elements of PDP include self-discovery, a development plan continuous improvement plan, periodic evaluation.

3. Provide two examples of your own personal goals. Explain how you ensure continued progress towards these goals.
My two personal goals are to embrace mindfulness and building confidence. In order to ensure, I keep on working towards my goals, I must focus on facts that I can control and identify things that are out of my control. Besides must keep a track of every task or action that I am completing successfully under my PDP plan. Finally, I will always look into the bigger picture, as my future goal to ensure I continuously perform towards my goal.

4. How do you apply technology to managing your work priorities Give at least two different examples?
Technology is one of the significant tools for managing work priorities and schedules under the PDP. Making a task schedule of daily activities under the PDP is a major challenge for people due to the complexities involved in it (Gui et al., 2018). However, with the application of technology, one can easily develop a date-based task system that allows scheduling priorities for current and future days.
Tools like outlook are some existing tools that are used by students and professionals to do the right task at the right time.

5. Explain what work/life balance means to you and how you manage your work priorities to help achieve work/life balance.
The term work-life balance addresses the balance that individuals need between time for work and other aspects of life (Poulose amp Sudarsan, 2018). In order to achieve my goal, I must identify the difference between urgent vs. important work and develop my personal plan accordingly. Further, I need to be flexible with my working hour to ensure I achieve my goals on time.

6. What are competency standards Give five examples of competency standards relevant to your job role?
Competency standards are the benchmark used to identify knowledge and skills that an individual must demonstrate in the workplace in order to prove his or her as competent.
Five essential core competencies of an HR are planning and organizing ability, problem-solving ability, organizing ideas, using technology and interpersonal communication skills

7. Using the competency standards identified in question 6, describe the process you would follow to prioritize development in these areas.
The first process that I would follow to develop my core competencies is to seek the feedback of my performances. Feedback will help me to identify my areas of opportunities as well as weaknesses.
Taking small initiatives to develop my competencies like learning from observing others or dealing with challenges would help me to develop my problem-solving abilities. Asking the right question to know my strength would help me to enhance my interpersonal communication skills.

8. List three types of on-the-job training and describe how they might be used in your workplace.
Three important on-job-training types are
Observational learning This is one of the significant methods of on-job-training where employees learn by observing the skill of other employees. For instance, during a negotiation process, one can learn the negotiation technique by observing the negotiator. Observational learning can be done by making new employees sit beside the experienced workers.
Trial by Fire Under this OJT technique employees learn from being exposed to deadlines and pressure and challenges (Arranz, Garca-Serrano amp Hernanz, 2018). Organizations can assign less important tasks with short deadlines to new employees or existing ones to make them learn about techniques or deal with stress at work.
Immersion It is a process of learning culture by being surrounded by that culture. The organization can use for new employees by asking them to work with a team that consists of people who are different from his or her culture

9. Explain what having a competitive edge means to you.
Competitive edge is a favorable position that a company holds in the market that causes more profit and customers to business (Pang et al., 2018). Thus having competitive edge suggests a company offer better product or service compared to its competitors.

10. Briefly describe the principles and techniques involved in performance measurement.
Performance measurement is based on the principles of collecting, analyzing, and reporting information regarding organizational and individual performances. There are various tools available that employers can use to measure the performance of employees. Various metrics such as productivity metrics, efficiency metrics, and training metrics are used under the performance measurement framework.

11. Name any two-common personality type testing process used as a technique to identify an individual's behavior type and his/her personality traits.
Disc Assessment is used for identifying and individual's behavior type. This is based on the idea of William MarstonandWalter Clarke and it helps to evaluate individuals' behavior. Some organizations rely on this personality test to hire new employees and some of the organizations use this to understand employees' suitability for a job (Becker).
Myers Briggs personality test is based on 16 personality types. This test helps to indicate various psychological preferences of people to perceive the world around them and make a decision.

12. What learning style do you have? Briefly explain.
My learning experience is based on a logical learning style. Under a logical learning style, learners prefer using logic, reasoning, and systems (Vizeshfar amp Torabizadeh, 2018) The parietal lobes of the left-side drive the logical thinking process.

13. List any three principles of time management.
Three major principles of time management are planning, checking, and organizing.
Planning Making a plan which is ahead of time increases the chances of success. Considering all possible obstacles during planning is one of the major criteria of time management.
Checking Keep a track of major failures and victories by tracking them is the best way of time management.
Organizing the Ability to organize tasks reduces the chances of unnecessary time waste, on the other hand, it saves a lot of time during any task.

14. Outline briefly the functions of
a. Organizational policies
The purpose of the organisational policy is to provide guidance towards implementing strategies in order to achieve organization mission and vision (Mansouri, Singh amp Khan). Besides, it grants a method to control the behaviours of organizations.
b. Organizational procedures.
Organizational procedures evaluate various policies, processes and techniques, and development, approval, and implementation to support IT structure and internal policies of the organisation to meet legal requirements.

15. Briefly explain the difference between formal and informal self-development opportunities.
Organizations offer both formal and informal development opportunities to its employees for efficient and effective performance. Enrolling in training programs or workshops where employees gain theoretical knowledge is a pattern of the formal development process. On the contrary, under informal development opportunities, employees learn from immediate supervision, through teamwork or from practical work experience.

16. List down any three benefits of participating in business networks.
Three benefits of participating in business networks are

Gaining new opportunities

Actions Benefits Justification
Offering reward and recognition Rewards and promotion will re-encourage employees to perform better in order to achieve organizational goals. In this way, employees will try to finish every task at a given point in time. Financial rewards and promotion can work for these de-motivated employees. Employees must receive adequate support from the company in order to remain active and fit at work. Reward and recognition systems are used here to motivate employees and demonstrate that their hard work is appreciated. Financial rewards will encourage employees to finish work on time while working hour flexibility can help to minimize issues with late arriving. Finally, the decision of dividing work among more employees can help to reduce the burden of employees and less sick days for organizations.
Offering work hour flexibility If an employee can get flexibility, it will resolve the problem of late arriving. Even if employees are late, they will still get the change to complete their tasks within the day. Increasing team size As the employee is feeling more pressure due to huge work, thus dividing work into more worker can help existing employee to reduce their work burden and maintain a work-life balance
