In order to become a positive role model, a leader must demonstrate ethical behavior and a sense of fairness for his/her followers (Miles et al., 2018). Certain qualities or ethical behavior like integrity, humanity, respect for others, fairness, value-driven decision-making ability makes a leader a positive role model for followers.
Integrity is one of the virtues that must be present among ethical leaders. Being honest towards people and their work is one quality that followers look for in their role models. Dishonesty not only destroys the image of a leader but makes them a failed leader
Being human is one of the most essential traits of leaders who are ethical. Ethical leaders are known for being sympathetic and empathetic towards their followers. Further, ethical leaders act in such a fashion that is favorable for the team. This is possible because an ethical leader uses all six senses that are present in humans.
Respecting people irrespective of their job role or position within the company is the basic criteria to become an ethical leader. An ethical leader does not discriminate between followers based on their position or potential and holds equal respect for everyone and their job.
An ethical leader never supports an individual or group rather concentrate on developing team working ability through fairness. Ethical leaders do not demonstrate biased behavior.
Generating value for organizations while ensuring employee growth is a part of leadership objectives. Ethical leaders ensure that any and every decision that based and meets the organization's goal is implemented.

Personal development plan (PDP) is an action plan based on reflection, goal setting, awareness, and values with the aim of self-improvement within the context of professional, educational, and relationship development (Rimmer, 2018). The key elements of PDP include self-discovery, a development plan continuous improvement plan, periodic evaluation.

My two personal goals are to embrace mindfulness and building confidence. In order to ensure, I keep on working towards my goals, I must focus on facts that I can control and identify things that are out of my control. Finally, I will always look into the bigger picture, as my future goal to ensure I continuously perform towards my goal.

However, with the application of technology, one can easily develop a date-based task system that allows scheduling priorities for current and future days.
Tools like outlook are some existing tools that are used by students and professionals to do the right task at the right time.

The term work-life balance addresses the balance that individuals need between time for work and other aspects of life (Poulose amp Sudarsan, 2018). In order to achieve my goal, I must identify the difference between urgent vs. important work and develop my personal plan accordingly. Further, I need to be flexible with my working hour to ensure I achieve my goals on time.

Competency standards are the benchmark used to identify knowledge and skills that an individual must demonstrate in the workplace in order to prove his or her as competent.

The first process that I would follow to develop my core competencies is to seek the feedback of my performances. Feedback will help me to identify my areas of opportunities as well as weaknesses.
Taking small initiatives to develop my competencies like learning from observing others or dealing with challenges would help me to develop my problem-solving abilities. Asking the right question to know my strength would help me to enhance my interpersonal communication skills.

Observational learning This is one of the significant methods of on-job-training where employees learn by observing the skill of other employees. For instance, during a negotiation process, one can learn the negotiation technique by observing the negotiator. Observational learning can be done by making new employees sit beside the experienced workers.
Trial by Fire Under this OJT technique employees learn from being exposed to deadlines and pressure and challenges (Arranz, Garca-Serrano amp Hernanz, 2018). Organizations can assign less important tasks with short deadlines to new employees or existing ones to make them learn about techniques or deal with stress at work.
Immersion It is a process of learning culture by being surrounded by that culture. The organization can use for new employees by asking them to work with a team that consists of people who are different from his or her culture

Competitive edge is a favorable position that a company holds in the market that causes more profit and customers to business (Pang et al., 2018). Thus having competitive edge suggests a company offer better product or service compared to its competitors.
