Nobody is perfect in this world, we all have some flaws so do I have and for improving ourselves it is important to be a part of personal leadership development program. Being a good leader requires skills and characteristics traits which are not present in common people. Being confident, having good communication skills and able to set vision for the betterment of the company are some traits which must be present in an effective leader. In this report I will analyze myself and improve the areas where I fall short.
This report aims to give the reader a transparent outlook to see my competencies' strengths and weaknesses. The purpose of this personal development plan is to give the reader a chance of critically analyzing my behavioral and leadership skills, the one which I possess. Along with it, I will give you a brief journey of my analysis and personal development plan. This personal development contains different sections starting from the introduction, behavioral and personal analysis, objectives for the personal development plan, action plan, and conclusion.
I am a 24-year-old graduate working in a medium-sized company as a research associate. I joined this company through offsite interviews that were held at some other university after graduation. There I was working under a motivating manager who forced me to take part in the leadership development program. It was a two months' program where at first I had to find out my strength, weaknesses, and other competencies by conduction personal SWOT analysis (Braun and Nieberle, 2017). It was a very good opportunity for me to further develop my skills. I conducted my SWOT analysis to identify the potential areas where there is a need for improvement.
· Find it difficult to come up with an idea in the planning process.
· Unable to ask employees to work as per the company’s directions
· To enhance my leadership skills
· To become an effective leader in the organization
· Inability to achieve the goals
· Cannot maintain a work-life balance
· Potential biasness
It is identified through the trait theory of leadership that an effective leader must possess intellective, demographic, psychological and task-related characteristics. In addition to this it is observed that an effective leader's qualities, their traits, interest level are all different from the ineffective leaders (Braun and Nieberle, 2017). According to me, I possess some good characteristics which are enough to prove that I can be a good leader in the future. For instance, I have good communication skills which are very important for a leader to manage the workforce and for establishing a good relationship with the clients.
I can explain myself clearly to the audience without creating murkiness and confusion. In case if I fail to express my ideas to the group, it will restrict my ability to become a good leader who formulates the employees to work as per the company's guidelines. Self-confidence is also considered as an important leadership trait (Dugan, 2017). It is because of this leadership quality that I can make complex decisions and accomplish them. I accept my responsibility for the work and the potential failure which the company comes across during my tenure.
My behavioral skills are well established and I do not create any conflict in the organization while working together on a project with 10 people in the group. I treat everyone as equal and try to maintain harmony. I have good analytical skills to visualize and find solutions for some real-life complex problems. I understand today's business scenario and therefore I am flexible and adaptive to all the situations (Reimer et al. 2019). I accept all the changes that come under the light during my tenure as a leader. I understand that I must set the vision of the company and achieve this vision by creating and following some objectives. I accept that I find it hard to do strategic planning and so not know how to manage the workforce properly.

Based on the above prediction I can say that I need to enhance my leadership skills of becoming a successful leader as well as I need to maintain work-life balance and my negative and biased attitude towards others.
All the objectives of my development plan is articulated through SMART criteria. It states that all the objectives of the plan must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and must be completed within the given time-bound. Here are those adjectives that need to be achieved.
To develop my skills and behavior to become a successful person.
To be able to contribute my part to achieve the goals as an executive of the company.
To enhance my understanding of skills and behavioral skills with the help of this program.
Here is an action plan consisting of three important columns that include objective, action and success measure.

To complete every objective, there are some action plan assigned which needs to be completed based on the success result (Griffith et al. 2019). It will be judged during the personal development leadership program whether you can achieve leadership skills or have achieved one or two objectives from the plan to improve behavior and leadership skills.
The three objectives on which I am going to work in the personal development plan include skills to assign and delegate tasks to the subordinates for achieving the strategies of the company. The success measure of this objective can be achieved by a survey or assessment report. The next objective is to set a vision and realize the vision with the help of the company's goal. It can be measured through survey and assessment reports obtained from the other employees working in the organization (Mendenhall et al. 2020). The last objective is to widen the understanding level during the personal development program and to measure it by conducting meetings, surveys, and assessment reports gathered from the employees.
The expectation through personal leadership development programmer was to enhance leadership skills and competencies so that I can handle all the subordinates well and assign them the task according to their expertise. The leadership program conducted was very beneficial for me as it has also helped to widen my understanding and behavioral level. Along with this, it has also helped to set the vision for the company and make strategic goals to realize them. I comprehended through the program that I must conduct frequent meetings with the subordinates and try to learn from the more experienced leaders in the organization.
