The reflection is all about my post placement experience in which I got the good chance of having best experience and learning the various distinct factors of getting into a project. The common method to begin a project was to plan at initial level, establish it and try it to accomplish in steps as per the detailed planning. The other experience was that while being the management trainee is that it has given me an improved comprehension of the various distinct works and liabilities I can accomplish as a management trainee (Arnesen, 2019). During the post- placement week, the basic aim was to achieve the work objectives. The main question that kept hovering over my mind during the post- placement was that what should I do to accomplish my work? While working in the company, I noticed that various colleagues and students were performing the same action as I did. Due to this, I was bit concerned about how to accomplish the tasks provided. When the manager reached to me and evaluates the progression, she would mark out the shortcomings and stated about what are the real quality of work required (Bandaranaike, 2018). During the post- placement, if I am wrong or I am not able to do the adequate work assigned, my inadequateness was corrected and I have learned from the other senior employees until I improved my work or surpass them. In my self- evaluation I found that now I am more confident, more accountable, and have got more command in solving the issues. I would like to rate myself 4 out of 5 as per my capabilities and competency regarding the post of project coordinator.
If I talk about the first day, it was the most memorable days of my entire post- placement experience. At first I was being introduced to every employee then I was allotted a tender to work on. In the allotted work, the task was to give the commendations to advance certain factors of the project where it was competent for me and for my opinion on the project. They were frank and pleased to assist as I wanted and was ready for any recommendations and ideas. It directly made me realize like I was part of the crew (Bandaranaike et al. 2018). In the first week of the task assigned, I was dazed by the work and accountabilities placed on me under the guidance of supervisors and directors who hold years of experience in the commerce. I was confident enough and was knowing that my work will be cross checked and my faults will be explained. It was a great experience by gaining observation and experience from them, it enabled me to take the tips and also made me learned about a diversity of skills i.e. from communicating to learning and interrelating with another corporations. It also made me learnt to how to read and comprehend a diversity of projects (Conroy & McCarthy 2019).
The initial weeks have been a lot of fun for me to work on tenders as it has allowed me to use all the processes that I have learnt at university during my ongoing management course. I felt that this may not be same everywhere and mainly a management trainee can target on only specific sort of stream, but I was overwhelmed that I got the opportunity to use my theoretical education and use them to the actual life circumstances (Howells, Barton & Westerveld, 2016). By observation and experience, the other valuable lesson that I learned while working is that the things can alter very rapidly while working on the projects, especially in the primary levels of a precise project. The other lesson that I have learned from this is that if there are some qualms like whether a survey should be stopped, if the materials nominated are adequate for the project, it should be always cross- checked by the senior before presenting it to the client. I found that the workplace has various employees like supervisors, managers etc. that work in one office (Stoszkowski & Collins, 2017). This vast variety of individuals have various qualifications and competencies and they work in synchronization with each other to get the work done effectively and it should get deliver to the client timely. This results in assist the office to work better as a team and hence makes a better place for work.
It is highly dependable on the project which is going to initiate. I have got variety of work to do every day. In this, some days were relaxing in which I used to form regular documents on the forums that the corporation requires to be maintained and updated. It assisted me to learn a little bit more about the corporation and how I felt I had competence for the development of the corporation (Takayama, Jones & Amazan, 2017).
After spending the hours on the desk, I found that what I was studying in the theory, I actually brought it in use in actual life. It assisted me to comprehend that every stage of the project is vial in its own sense. There is always a distinction amid expectations and realism. In reality, my expectation is to accomplish and attain high standards of work objectives in a short span of time. However, in course of my real experiences I felt that this was not easy. As a management scholar, I have to work hard in order to prove myself. Though, I have been placed in this office but it took me a lot of efforts to get there (Wain, 2017).
The challenge which I faced during the post- placement was to present before the client about the status of the project planning.
To cope up with this challenge I was asked to seek help from the other department’s managers to prepare the report.
In order to make the presentation I got through the company’s profile and the status of the material brought and accordingly prepared the presentation.
The outcome which I have learned is to handle the pressure positively and work efficiently.
Before I came to this organization, I was bit nervous and shy who had no idea about my competency but today I am more confident about my capabilities. At the end of the work, I attended the common meeting with my academic supervisor and host supervisor, during these assemblies I got relevant assessment from both the supervisors. My supervisor allowed my hard work in course of the post placement which built the confidence in me and motivated me as well. In accumulation, they also pointed out my shortcomings like language and reliability which are required to be improved to play a better role in my coming career life (Watts, 2019).
As per my observations, a corporation with stringent rules and well organized function will influence a deep modification in your living standard. Most of the employees have tremendous commerce knowledge and skills mainly in accounting and finance segment. The corporation is filled with adequate technologies which are being used in the daily functionality of the corporation. The mission and vision of the corporation is to give best commercial management to its consumers. At present, due to its high efficiency, high quality and high level of amenities have gained a good position in the marketplace and also amongst its consumers which is a lifelong learning for me. As per my observation, it is vital for a corporation to have a good workplace culture and it is also beneficial for the staff members as well (Weber et al. 2018). Although all the personnel have been busy all the time, the place for business situation of the enterprise becomes usually fantastic, orderly and nonviolent.
There is a way of life of giving and receiving positive remarks in the corporation, skilled staff constantly would like to percentage revel in with new team of workers. Right here is one difference I noticed among experienced staff and new body of workers: experienced staffs were usually busy and new staffs had been continually waiting.
