A leader is a person who can create a motivational and inspiring vision for the future, always tries and boost the morale of people around then especially the teammates and workers of an institution. A leader also manages the vision of delivery and provides coaching or seminars for the team to achieve every task and goal, these seminars and goals shall help the team members to achieve the target and stand on the expectations of the client and the superior authorities (Blanchard, 2018). Some qualities of a good leader are that a leader should always stay positive, boosts confidence in employees to work, stay motivated in every possible situation and also transfer such motivation to other workers and team members so that there is no loss of the profit to the association and the customers. A leader should hold a good sense of humor (Glatthorn, Boschee, Whitehead, Boschee, 2018). There are a few leadership styles that a leader should adopt and avail of in professional life. They are as follows (Hoch, Bommer, Dulebohn, & Wu, 2016):
The term Laissez – Faire is derived from the French which means "let's do". The meaning of the term Laissez – Faire is taking hands-off style; therefore, it means that allowing team members to make their own decisions and also allow them to establish their goals and aims for the working criteria at the workplace. This style of leadership is the most passive and least effective behavior for a leader, it abdicates responsibility and avoids the decision-making power being an authority.
The Transactional style of leadership has always focused on the goals and achieving the rewards and accomplishment with determination and focus towards the task. The leaders of such leadership style are the guide who motivates and directs the followers or the team members to be focused on the established goals by clearing the doubts and also by fulfilling the requirements of the task allotted. It also includes providing rewards to follower employees on certain achievements.
Leadership styles that demonstrate the commitment to provide and give priority to the other employees too, such leader also focus on the growth of others, helps in learning and development of every employee in the staff, also takes care of the autonomy and well- being of the colleagues, is very determined on the relationship between an employee and employer, team leader and team members, and other working staff, the prior duty is to make all the other employees comfortable in working and the designation of a leader is always secondary. Such leaders always support the team members and always tries for their improvement in working style and submission. They also shift from managing coordination to facilitating collaboration.
A leader who empowers the followers or the workers through new ideas, attributes and behaviors, also by providing inspirational speeches, by motivating the workers of the employment or task, by considering every creativity and new work of every individual, no discrimination on any basis leads to a good and supportive leader. Such a leader is creative and supports creativity to others and this support is, therefore, called an example of encouraging the other members for work. They are very responsible regarding the duties and authority assigned to them. They have enthusiasm in them for taking and facing any kind of risk and challenges, a properly planned chart is always followed for further long-term compensatory results.
A leader who can inspire and build their zeal in work, a leader who builds confidence and also holds a strong conviction against the work profile is a charismatic leader. Every vision is expressed in the new ideas and ideologies, the goal is idealistic the future is brighter than the others, also can build good understanding with the other employees or teammates to clear the vision, the perspective is clear and has the ability to the need and emotions of the workers in the team, such leader also sacrifice for the work profile and carry the behavior that might perceive as a novel.
A leader who is a combination of the other three qualities and style of leadership which are transformational, charismatic and transactional, a leader which builds a good interactive relationship with the team members and have the ability to set the climate of the working area in terms to have a significant impact on the key factors that determine a project as a success and builds the morale and productivity of an employee.
The abovementioned style and forms of leadership quality shall help in the development of employment or any team as in whole, a good leader can lead and build its team's motivation and enthusiasm for getting better results, therefore, a leader can bring changes in the working process and framing the employment at its best.
The most important skill and competencies that are required by THE TIGER TEAM and the project manager for bringing out the effective changes in the project is that a project manager should have the good leadership quality, as mentioned above, good communication skills know how to manage time and schedule, how to deal with the problems if any, knows about the team management, guiding the team when required, furthermore, a project manager should also be able to keep up with the management of the project and use every possible tools and equipment's whenever required (Boamah, Laschinger, Wong, & Clarke, 2018). The task of a project manager is a tedious job which is accompanied by multiple tasks and the responsibility is on the manager to provide justice to the work. This includes work from the technical, management, and business capabilities which also involves some of the soft skills. THE TIGER TEAM requires good management and deserving project manager for handling all the issues and problems in the team. Project manager's capabilities and skills are a very important commodity for today's business world and institutions. This is also because project management in present requires the project manager to set up their game plan for achieving their tasks and targets (Nielsen, Yarker, Brenner, Randall, & Borg, 2008).
