In the case study provided, the ASQ organization has been observed to utilize and apply the systems of lean six sigma methodology along with the conceptualization of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) to streamline and improve the efficiency and quality of organizational processes (Bondarenko et al., 2018).

In order to support the interest of change management in any business process given an efficient PLC model to encourage the attainment of lean six sigma principles is of crucial importance (Holetn et al., 2019). Involvement of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK)’s five stages viz. initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling in the overall process of change management in the process and overall organizational context has a great deal of vitality as it provides with the following advantageous factors to the business practices (Varajao et al., 2017).

• Provides for the pace for iterative or continuous improvement in process of change and overall management (Shams et al., 2017).
• Effective and optimum utilization and absorption of resources in focus that leads to reduced wastage in the processes.
• Enhancement of the quality of the system, total quality management, and quality of work factors, hence creating a competitive edge (Rosenbaum et al., 2018).
• Assistance in overall recognition of the changing viability and also the gaps visible in the same.

Henceforth, it has been evident that the integration of PMBoK and lean six sigma practices in the process of change and its management has a higher correlation and significance in the process and practice of change management, thus justifying the importance of change and use of PMBoK for lean six sigma (Varajao et al., 2017).
