Introduction to Reliability and Maintenance Data Analysis

Reliability and maintenance of data analysis is important in predicting many reliable characteristics of the item as well as supportability and maintainability function. It is important to have an adequate information on the right time, and also require time to maintain and also need time to support the features of that item. Generally, in most of the case, these features can be expressed with the help of theoretical concepts. Hence, the problem with each logistician that faces is to select the accurate distribution function to define the empirical information with the help of theoretical probability distribution. If the distribution is very much identical then the user can retrieve the information about every kind of hazard that the function and other reliability features like mean time among the rate of failure and failure and many more. In the case of reliability and maintenance of data, it is required to identify the maintainability and reliability function as in the case of reliability.

Contribution

Data collection is the important process that means to measure and to gather the data according to the variables of the interest and the data can be collected in a systematic fashion that helps everyone in the organisation to answer all the questions of the research related questions, test the data, hypothesis and analyse the results.

The data collection is the component of research and it is common in all domains incorporating, social science, humanities, physical, business and all others. However, there are different methods for different functions or different domains, the primary emphasis is in making sure about the accuracy of the data and gathering the data remains the same. The primary aim of data collection is to capture the excellent quality of data and evidences and then this data has to be translated to the other rich kind of data that helps in analysing and allowing to build the convincing, credible and relevant answers according to the questions framed of the research. Irrespective of the domain of study or irrespective of preference, data can be collected either with the help of qualitative method or quantitative method, accuracy of data collection is important for maintaining the integrity of the study. The choice of method, both the methods are accurate instruments of data collection such as existing, modified, or newly developed and all the clearly delineated commands for their accurate use to minimise the possibility of occurring of errors. The most important stage in research is collecting the data. The one can has the research design up to mark in the universe however the data collection method is not appropriate than one cannot be able to complete the project. The collection of data stars with measuring what type of data is required for the particular project. After that, it is important to use some kinds of instrument to gather the data from the selected sample.

Research Failure Types

Process analysis is the step by step process that breaks the stages of process in smaller and it is used to send the outputs, outputs and functions that take place while each phase is going. This process helps in understanding the process of improvements with the help of reducing the waste and by enhancing the efficiency. There are different kinds of input in an organisation, the input can be any thing like labour, material, resources, machinery, tools and capital equipment. The output can be any physical products, goods or any kind of services. This output can be used input to some other thing. These procedures can have a remarkable influence on the business’ performance, and procedure also helps in improving the company’s competitiveness. The very first process is to evaluate the process to get aware of the activities, their connections and different values of the metrics. There are different tasks that involves different steps;

  • It describes the boundaries of process that mark all the entry points of the input process and all the exit points of the output process.
  • Developing a procedure flow diagram that exemplifies many procedure activities and other connections.
  • It also helps in determining the capacity of every step in the process and then compute the measures.
  • It also helps in identifying the bottleneck and it has the lowest capacity.
  • Analyse the further constraints to quantify the influence of bottleneck.
  • Also helps in evaluating the decisions to enhance the procedure.

Tools

There are different tools that can help in this process are; Flowchart, mistake proofing, spaghetti diagram and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Link Analysis

It is the technique of data analysis that is used in the networking theory and can help in evaluating the connections among different nodes in the network. These connections can be among many kinds of objects incorporating people, firms and also the transactions. It is vey important in type of knowledge that helps in discovering and also used in data visualizing to permit for the better analysation, and especially in context to link, it does not matter if it is a web link or relationship link among different people and entities. It is also used in the process of investigation of different criminal activities.

Data Collection: Secondary Data

Secondary data is the gathered from all the primary sources that can be used in the present study. Gathering secondary data takes less time as compared to collecting the primary data that helps in gathering all the information from scratch. There are two research methods that help in gathering the data;

  • Quantitative data
  • Qualitative data

Quantitative is based on the numbers, integers, calculations and it includes all the mathematical calculations. Qualitative is based on the interviews such as structured interviews and Semi-structured interviews, can also be focus groups transcripts, observation records, field notes, and other personal, research-related documents. There are some of the best way to collect the data such as;

Recommendation on Reliability and Maintenance Data Analysis

There are different ways of gathering the data, it depends on the company to company how the data can be extracted and what kind of data the organisation required. There are various facts that can be revealed when the research become very successful. There is no sign if reliability of data methods applicable to the firms, as different companies have different approach towards analysing the data and maintaining the data. There are different factors that matters like size, environment of firm, technological asset, willingness to accept the important cost, impact the benefit of that the firm can accomplish. There are various recommendation for the reliability and maintaining the data like observation, information can be extracted by observing, viewing, visiting the place regarding to gather the data. It is recommended that the researcher should be careful while conducting any kind of research and study. It also recommending for the researcher to observe the method that is used for the data collection in different domain then only apply this method in the organisation so that it gives the appropriate results.
