The case describes how teacher behaviour affects the student and their mental growth.

Analyze the case from the perspectives of the case writer and Karen. How do their perspectives differ?

The writer believes that the activities, the curriculum must comply with the student interest. According to ECA, the curriculum provided in an organization must enrich children’s learning, balancing children's work, and provide them an environment suitable for earning. Moreover, ECA guidelines suggest that the educator must ensure that children are not discriminated in the basis of age, ability, race, economic status, ethnicity, religion, language, culture, sexuality, lifestyle, and family background. However, Karen has an opposite view on child education. Karen makes the fun of his class student Jose in front of another student. Karen regularly insults Jose in front of the other children as Jose is Spanish and not speaks broken English. The writer believes that in any organization, children should be treated properly so that, it may not hinder their thought process about education, should not develop a misrepresentation of the education system, teachers, and counsellors. If this way of teaching continues where the student is exposed, then it may lead to a mental disturbance among children. Moreover, the writer beliefs that the children must not be treaded and must not be based on the basis of their culture, ethnicity, lifestyle, mother tongue, and family background.

Case Writer: The case author highly exceeds the professional expectation. The author reaches office on time, i.e., is obeying the office timings and code of conduct. The author also knows about the way, procedure, or method to treat the young minds. She/he is very much aware of the fact that no student should be based based on their culture. Although the author has put forward and talked with Karen regarding the misconduct she has done with Jose. The author also actively engages in the implementation of new things for the betterment of the organization. The author thinks that as a coordinator she wants to improve the program for the sake of children's development.

Karen: Karen fell short as per the professionalism expectation. This is because of her misbehaviour towards Jose. As a teacher of younger students, one should not develop the characteristics of making fun, ignorance, and mimicking of young children. Moreover, he discriminates against children based on race, culture, ethnicity, and family background. She always makes fun of Joe because he is from Spain and can talk with broken English. Moreover, Karen does not follow the official timing of the organization as instead of 10:30, she usually joins the office one hour late at 11:30. This is also not professional.

Julie: Julie falls short as per the professional expectation. This is because she does not show any positive behaviour toward the working organization. As when the author joined the organization, Julie’s reaction was not good, she does not show positive body gesture, although talked with author briskly as if the organization is not good to work for anyone. Ethical: Ethically, the author follows office timing and come reach office on time. This is considered as a positive professional characteristic. However, the other character of the case becomes habitual of late coming to the office that is ethically not good in an organization.

Although, after joining Hershel is not convinced with the work culture, with the behaviour of colleagues towards children, with the resource availability. The author will advise RECE to follow the guidelines, standards of the good practice as an educator. Moreover, it will recommend to RECE that in every situation educator need to consider and react in relation to community, students, family, organization, and colleagues.

The case study describes the development of a feeling of misconception, misbelieve, and misperception with the supervisor of the community centre. The reason for the development of these feeling is the improper working of the RECE in the organisation. The study also determines the lack of proper communication and lack of strict action between the RECE and the supervisor. In the centre, RECE misconduct her duties and actions based on financial strain.

Analyze the case from the perspectives of the case writer, Saba and Mr. and Mrs. Zaid. How do their perspectives differ?

Case writer: the author thinks that there is some sort of decryption happening in the organisation with respect to the fees submission. According to the author, Saba is discriminating the full fee-paying families and fee, assistance family. This creates a sense of feeling within the author that centre's working philosophy has not properly communicated with the staff of the organisation.

Saba: According to Saba, there is some equality among the children with respect to the fee structure. That is why she thinks that MR. and Mrs Zaid pay their child fee on time.

The main impact of the case is Saba behaviour toward children and family, she has developed the characteristics of discriminating children based on the type of fee submitted, that is, fully paid children and fee concession children. This discrimination creates a set of mental torture to the children and family. According to ECA, the teacher or educator must develop a respectful relationship based on open communication with the aim of encouraging, families, encouraging children, and engaging them toward a strong sense of belonging and trustfulness. However, Saba has also breached the centre’s policies of asking Mr. and Mrs, Zaid their class schedule. This was intolerable as no staffs in any organisation have the right to ask the family plans and their work.

In what ways and to what extent does the case writer fulfil, fall short of or exceed your expectations for professionalism? If applicable, to what extent do you think her actions can be justified?

According to me, the writer has fallen short for professionalism. Although she has developed a sense of humanity, trust, and are towards M. In addition, Mrs Zaid, she was unable to develop a strong professional relationship with Sada. Sada directly interact with Mr. and Ms. Zaid without notifying her supervisor. Moreover, under Maggie supervision, Sada has tried to discriminate children based on their fee submission. Her actions were not justifiable as she has not done any consultation with Sada and never explained her importance of confidentiality and centre working policies.

Going forward, what are some steps that staff could take to ensure that the centre’s values about being inclusive, sensitive, and building responsive relationships with families is affectively communicated?

To build a good, strong and healthy relationship with the family of children, one should follow good and clean communication strategies. Always acknowledge the family’s interest, their views, and their perspective in term of children upgrade and development. Enhance their trust by providing positive feedback about their children and ensure them about the children’s good and safe future.

How are the ethical and professional standards reflected (or not reflected) through this case?

Ethical: The discrimination of children based on the fee structure is ethically not correct. Moreover breaching the hierarchical flow is also not ethically good. Sada followed both things. She broke the hierarchal flow and contacted Joe families regarding their time schedule, without informing her supervisor. Moreover, she has also not maintained child right, as she tried to discriminate children based on fee submission and family background.

Professional: The author has equipped with communication skills such honesty, work ethic, flexibility, harmony with parents, eager and willing to help children and her co-workers. These can illustrated from the scene when Maggie has warmed welcome Mr and Mrs Zaid, and provide them with a relief of submitting fees once they did with their county formalities. Moreover, Maggie has also ensured the early joining of their son without any issue. This shoes that Maggie has fair and good professional characteristics.

The case writer wants to find out how many other families had asked for their schedules in the past to rectify any misperceptions about the role of the centre. What advice would you give this RECE?

To identify the list of families who were been treated similar to Mr and Mrs Zaid, one needs to go through the past record of the student. The families who were connecting to ask for their schedules will be those who have submitted the fees through fee concession. RICE must train well so that they can ensure good communication with the family. The communication should be indirect, as it may not hurt the feeling and perspective of family.
