Organizational Culture and Structure Influence on Projects

Organizational Culture

As different individuals have their personalities similarly all companies have their exclusive nature. This exclusive nature of the company is known as the culture of the organisation. In a way, organizational culture is not visible but it can be observed through the actions of the employees of that company. Organisational culture can be defined as a system as there are common expectations, standards, and values, which assist in governing the behaviour of the employees in the organizations. These common principles have a solidimpact on the employees of the company which commands them to act ethically and perform their duties. The leaders of the company are responsible for maintaining the culture of the company(Gordon, 2017).

All the companies work on maintaining and developing an exclusive culture in the company which assist in providing advice and limitations for the behaviour of the employeesin the company. To form the culture of a company there are numerous factors which include likings, standards, business demands, objectives, and expectations. To maintain the organizational culture, there is a requirement of maintaining leadership and reward system. The company’s culture is mainly an exclusive, social and psychological framework which depends on the values, expectations, principles and the manner on which the employees communicate.

Organizational Structure

A company’s structure is a framework which helps to provide direction to attain the objectives of the company. These actions can include roles, rules and duties on the employees. The company's structure helps to identify the flow of data among various levels in the company. In a centralized company structure, the flow of decisions is from top to bottom. In contrast to this, in the decentralized structure, the flow of decision is circulated among numerous level of the company (Ahmady, Mehrpour&Nikooravesh, 2016). With the help of a structure, the employees of the company are permitted to be effective and more focussed.

All types of organization whether big or small have their company structures. The company structure helps to define a particular hierarchy in the organization. If the company structure is successful then it helps to define the job role of each employee and also informs how that employee is suitable for the company. With the help of this structuring, the company can get a visual representation about its shape and in this way it can move forward for attaining its goals. The top members of the company structure are the most powerful while the bottom members are least powerful.
