V=441.6 knol/hr

2.3 Dimethyl Butane (liquid mole fraction) = 0.260 (given)

Molar flow rate of stream=600 kmol/hr

2.3 Dimethyl Butane=B= 0.260×600 =156 kmol/hr

Reboil ratio=V/B=441.6/156 =2.83

(C) The heat load of reboiler is calculated by the following formula

Q=mCp∆T+mλ

Where

‘m’ is mass flow rate

‘Cp’ is specific heat capacity

‘∆T’ is temperature difference

‘λ’ is latent heat of vaporization

Therefore, the data required is ‘Cp’ , temperature difference, mass flow rate and ’λ’
