Introduction to Sociological Research Proposal

Sociological questions are those which examine the social significance or outline of an observable fact. They key for the question is that it has to do with the society- involving groups rather than individuals - and it has to deal with patterns or importance. Sociological domain is needed to closely work with all subjects of studies and research because it’s the caretaker factor of the humanity and ethics (Doda, 2005).

Long Term and Short Term Benefits

The focus of the research study will be based upon the proportion of the long term and short term benefits the two types of government give to the Below poverty line subjects.

Long term benefits - include the perspective plans and policies applied which claimed to have or have benefitted within 15 years. Perspective planning is a long run planning where targets are fixed for long period say 15 to 25 years (Kaushik,1997).

Short term benefits- The short term benefits include those plans and schemes for BPL introduced during yearly budgets, populist announcements during elections, the shorter plans as part of longer perspective plan and related policies if any.

Method of Study

Field research- According to Denzin (2007), field research refers to gathering primary data from a natural environment and subjects.

The field research method -

The method of the field research put forward noteworthy benefits which are relevant and cooperate with the better result finding potential of our study as it is related to poor people of class who are dispersed in all the domains of study. To carry out field research, the sociologist must be prepared to step into new situation and observe, experience or participate. While field research often begins in a specific setting, the study’s purpose is to observe precise and particular behaviors in that setting.

There is a loophole in this method for this research work, though fieldwork is optimal for observing how people behave, It can’t be explained why they behaved that way.

For example- Different people will react differently on the benefits of a single scheme. This difference in behavior cannot be quantified.
