Discussion on Streakers Hair and Beauty Salon Risk Assessment

1)

Hairdressers who are working at Streakers Hair and Beauty Salon perform their duties with the help of mechanical tools (such as barber machine shaving, and hairdressers ’needles and blades) and a number of cosmetic products are used by them such as alcohol along with the shampoo and many others. This has put barbers and hairdressers in mechanical contact, but more specifically chemical and biological hazards in the workplace. Cosmetics products are essential ingredients for men's or women's beauty salons regardless. These products include shampoos, creams, hair conditioners and pigments, and various sprays. These usually contain a variety of chemical mixtures. Isopropyl alcohol is one of the chemicals commonly used by barbers. It has low levels of acute toxins and causes eye irritation, depression of the central nervous system, and recurrence or prolonged exposure to the pure form of narcosis. Ammonium lauryl sulfate, which is used as a cleansing agent, hair shampoo and bleach as an anionic surfactant;

And formaldehyde (frequently used in aerosol sprays for nail harsh cosmetic preparations and cosmetic use) once a person is known to be poisonous through shortness of breath, skin contact (skin rash on contact with formalin, and allergic skin reactions) and swallowing. Compounds including lead usually have different effects on multiple body systems. Similarly, low to moderate concentrations of toluene can cause fatigue, confusion, weakness, a variety of drunken actions, memory loss, nausea, loss of appetite, and loss of hearing and vision. Other compounds commonly found in common cosmetic products include P-benzene amine, O-benzene amine, P-phenylenediamine, P-toluidenamine, parabens, ammonia, phenols, glycerol monotoglycosides, ammonium, ammonium Various other self in their workplace Sthyajhumkira are victims. Poor posture, the mechanical load on the joints, prolonged standing, working long hours, eating missed meals, not taking breaks during work, as well as suffering from physical factors such as noise and high temperature are important for these individuals as occupational health risks. Overall assessment of the chemical and hairdressing addiction by the International Agency for Research on Cancer reveals the potential for the development of cancer (Abia, et al, 2016).

2

Three highest-risk plant hazards that are faced by the employees of Streakers Hair and Beauty Salon are:

Slip: Water on the floor, hair cut on the floor.

Power: Underwater equipment, wet touch switch, etc.

Along with that, chemical hazards include, Injectable hair color solutions, permanent wave solutions, straight creams, peroxides, inhalants, or bleaches are all dangerous. Chemicals burn can be created by other products if they come in contact with the skin and are not washed off immediately.

3

Machines, tools, equipment, or tools that can generally be classified as "plants" are ubiquitous in most workplaces. Although many hazards are associated with such plants, this section focuses on those associated with moving parts of machinery. Most of the losses related to this "kinetic energy" or "potential energy" are related to the fixed plant. However, the use of tools and equipment has driven in the workplace, kitchen, office, garden workplace results in a significant number of these conflicts. Identifying these hazards and determining related risks requires knowledge of how dynamic and potential forces work in mechano-human interfaces that could lose power control (Roelofs and Do, 2012).

Hairdressers, as well as other employees of Streakers Hair and Beauty Salon, use a variety of chemical solvents in their daily work. Straightening hair color solutions, permanent wave solutions, creams, peroxides, inhalants, or bleaches can be dangerous. Other products can burn chemicals if they come in contact with the skin and are not washed off immediately. Splashes of chemicals can also create eye risk. Therefore, protective clothing, gloves, face masks, and even protective eyewear should be considered to reduce exposure.

Hairdressers come in contact with various business tools and can be injured if misused. Razors, hair clippers, scissors, scissors, and thin tools can not only create cuts and cuts but can cause more serious injuries. Haircuts that are cut regularly and come in contact with her blood can put her at risk for bleeding disorders. In addition to beauty burns, hairdressers use hair dryers, blow dryers, straightening irons, styling vans, and curling irons (Milich, et al., 2017).

4

Risk removal: Disaster removal completely eliminates the risk and the exposure risk thereby, but it is not always achievable. An example of this is that Irish gas station inspectors do not face the risk of chronic lead poisoning after removing lead from gasoline products sold in the East.

Substitute the hazard with a lesser risk: A risk that replaces a risk with a low risk may not eliminate all the hazards associated with the replacement process or activity and may result in a variety of hazards but it does reduce the overall damage or health impact. Benzene is often used in place of benzene in laboratory studies. Although the properties of the two solvents are similar, toluene is less toxic and is not classified as a carcinogen. However, toluene can cause severe neuropathy.

Risk isolation: Risk isolation is achieved by restricting access to plants and equipment or by locking substances from strict control. Smoking cabinets can isolate the hazard from people when using certain chemicals, and similarly, placing sound devices in inaccessible enclosures or rooms separates the hazards from the people.

Use engineering controls: who takes the risk out of the person, uses equipment maintenance, proximity gardens, drainage systems, operators and other re-engagement methods to keep away from danger in remote areas (Ana, et al., 2019).

Use administrative controls: The use of controls includes the use of standard operating procedures or safe work practices or appropriate training, guidance, or information to reduce the likelihood of personal injury or adverse health effects. The separation of work procedures and approvals is an example of administrative control.

Use personal protective equipment: Personal protective equipment (PPE) includes gloves, goggles, earmuffs, aprons, protective shoes, and a dust mask designed to reduce risk exposure. PPE is generally considered the last line of defense and is usually used in combination with one or more other control systems. An example of the weakness of this control measurement is that disposable dust masks are not able to consistently achieve and maintain an effective face seal, do proper conference testing, and do not overdo small parts.

5) Reassessment and the Risk Rating

The purpose of the reassessment of the risk in the concerned company that is Streaks, in this case, is one of the crucial aspects that are generally used for determining of the risks that are there in the current time and the risk that is expected to be coming in the near future. In addition to this, it also plays an evident fact that it helps in controlling the assessed risks in an effective manner. Other than this it is also an important fact to be mentioned in this report that the number of times the Reassessment of the task is done makes it a point that the concerned project is actually taking progress in the present time and in the near future. Other than this it is also an important aspect to be mentioned in the concerning report that it also helps in deciding the actions that needs to be taken in order to solve the issues that might be countered by Streaks in the near future and that in turn makes the overall operations of the concerned company that is Streaks in this case in a streamlined fashion. Not only is that maintaining a proper risk register one of the means that is used to assess the weightage of the risk.

Other than this the reassessment of the risk helps in the categorization of the risk in an effective manner and that in turn helps the policy framers of the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) to frame the policy in such a manner that it will make the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) run in a very good manner. One of the benefits that are there in the Reassessment of the risk by the concerned company ( that is Streaks in this case) is that the company is going to face a lesser number of surprises and that in turn is quite beneficial for the progress of the concerned company ( that is Streaks in this case). Other than this the factor of the Reassessment plays a pivotal role in the making of the budget in a very effective way.

The reason for which the Risk Rating needs to be done by the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) are as follows: Firstly it helps the policy framers of Streaks to work in such a manner that it can form a positive image of the company and that in turn contributes a lot for attracting a large number of end side customers and in addition to this it also helps in optimizing the level of Productivity of the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) and that in turn contributes a lot for the overall progress of the Streaks in the current as well as for the future times. As it is quite an evident fact to be mentioned in this report that like everything in this world has a positive side and the negative side so as the Risk management of Streaks also have and they are as follows: The cost involvement is quite high, in this case, secondly the employees of Streaks need to get adapted to the new system which is quite a difficult aspect and that in turn becomes a roadblock for the progress of the concerned company it can be well concluded that some recommendations can be followed and they are as follows: The cost involved in it needs to be minimal as possible, good and effective members need to be there for the purpose of maintaining the risk register and also for the purpose of the reassessment (Ponstein, 2019).

6)  ALARP principle refers to the As Low As Reasonably Practical and it is generally used for the purpose of the regulation and the management of the factors that are very much responsible for the operations of the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) and those factors needs to be reduced as far as possible and that also at a very early phase. In addition to this, it is also an important fact to be mentioned in this report that this primarily deals with the risk with respect to factors such as Trouble, time and money. Yes, it is quite cost-effective in nature if the controls are being introduced and on top of that it also contributes a lot in overcoming the risks that the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) might face in the near future. It is sure that the risks, in this case, are not that much so it can be well stated that this principle can be well implemented. The recommendations that need to be followed are as follows: The cost involved in it needs to be minimal as possible, good and effective members need to be there for the purpose of maintaining the risk register and also for the purpose of the reassessment (Willkommen, 2020).

7)

Risk

Consequences

Plant-Based Risk

Chemical Based Hazard

There is a risk regarding the health factor of the concerned people, secondly, the working environment is also not that good and healthy (Maass, 2019).

Firstly it can create huge damage to the health of the concerned patient; secondly, the working conditions are also not that good in nature (Cuijpers, 2019).

8) The purchase policy of the concerned company (that is Streaks in this case) involves several aspects such as: Firstly there needs to be proper planning needs to be done, secondly their needs to be good and effective management of the infrastructure issues or the matters and that in turn is going to make the purchase plan quite effective in nature and the last aspect is the management of the cost-related aspects of the matters and that in turn makes the entire purchase policy of the Streaks quite effective in nature (Bonduelle, 2020).

Conclusion on Streakers Hair and Beauty Salon Risk Assessment

The aspect that can be well concluded from the above-mentioned study is that it determines the reassessment of the risk scenario and the factor of the Risk rating and the ways it is going to be useful for the purpose of overcoming the matter or the issues in a very effective manner. In addition to this, it is also an evident fact to state that this particular report also deals with the ALARP principle and the ways it is quite effective in handling the risks.
