Designing and Installing the Plant Assessment Answer

Question:

What skills will be required for designing and installing the plant and what contracts need to be put in place?

RTC plant engineers have a number of responsibilities, including increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring better profitability of production facilities. Their work is so important that it affects equipment, labor, product quality and the customer. Although factory engineers are often industrial engineers, whatever their background, manufacturing, quality, safety and management experience are required.

Here are some of the skills and competencies needed to run a factory effectively. Potential employers will gain experience in these fields when hiring plant engineers.

Technical Knowledge

Good technical knowledge will be required to manage the production of all products effectively by RTC plant engineers. It is essential that the engineers be able to identify problems during the manufacturing process and can easily be able to read, interpret as well as draw pictures of materials. They must be able to see engineering flaws and find better ways to improve product quality as well as must be instrumental in implementing safer methods of operation (Tilley, 2017).

Planning and Time Management

Another important responsibility of RTC plant engineers is to determine the cost of production of factory-made products as well as to evaluate and implement cost-effective methods. In addition to planning, they are also required to take care of the necessary daily schedule.

Problem-Solving Ability

Small mistakes can lead to big disasters and leads to financial jeopardizing of the business unit. It also paves way for the mistakes in terms of managing the cash in, and out flow for an organization like RTC with factory management problems. Factory engineers needs to be quick thinkers and be prepared for any problems that may arise. To avoid problems in the future, the person allotted with the role of managing should take steps to solve the problems in addition to give solutions as well as recommendations (Van Aken & Berends, 2018).

Contracts required in this context are:

Nondisclosure Agreement

Non-Disclosure Agreement is a legal agreement between at least two parties that defines a line of confidential content or a partnership of evaluation and / or a specific relationship in context to RTC plant engineers.

Partnership Agreement

A well-planned partnership agreement establishes relationships and responsibilities between two or more business partners. The trade agreement also sets the tone for each partner's individual obligations, capital contributions, profit distribution, shareholdings, and termination of the partnership. The description of the expectations and responsibilities of the partners before the start of the partnership is considered to be ideal; however, partnership agreements can be made during the commercial partnership. If a partner wishes to amend one of the terms of the agreement, it is strongly recommended to do so in writing (Seshadri, 2017).

Property and equipment lease

These types of company agreements set out the conditions and terms regarding the lease for any equipment or other necessary things, as well as monthly payments, terms, deposits, maintenance contracts and other related objects.

Sales-related contracts include Bill of sale,  and Security agreement Purchase order. An employment contract includes General employment contract, Independent contractor agreement and Noncompeting agreement (Yun, 2016).
