Team-Based Enterprise Application Development Project

Development

The system was developed sequentially mainly using the j query and other Java- programming qualities. The system out-print command was used to indicated the aspects that could be displayed on the screen. There are different parts of the systems that needed to be developed in the system. The dynamics of dividing the parts in the system development depended on the skills by the team members

Formation

The system under formation had three main parts. One of the main programs in the development of the system was the front-end of the system. HTML 5 and other front-end programming languages were used in the development of the front-end part of the system. More to that the system had the back-end. The back-end of the system development had the database and some of the team members made the back end while others developed the code to integrate the front- end and the back- end of the system.

Role and responsibility.

As the team leader. My main role was that I acted as the project manager of the system and hence ensured that the system was made and completed on time.

  • Reviewed all the reports on a daily basis.
  • Ensured that targets were reached on time.
  • Ensured that the system run as per the requirements.
  • Helped to set out the objectives of the system.

Technical Difficulties

Some of the difficulties that were rampantly found in the system development included the following;

  1. Compilation errors

One of the main errors that were found in the system development included the compilation errors. This are errors that are found about due to a wrong code or a wrong syntax in the writing of the code

Solution: The system was done by following the error Indicators in the compilers and solving what was required of the syntax. We used both primary and secondary sources of guidance of java development syntax and development systems.

  1. Creating data sets and relations.

Understanding all the data sets in a rapidly developing and expanding field like the car industry needless to say is an uphill task. Relationships were also found in places that we did not expect and some of the subsets in the car-set part rapidly inherited a lot of traits from other parts of the system. Price action and politics that was beyond control affected the relationships and perceptions of the cars.

Solutions:- Creating models and asking for feedback from people who had used the system greatly affected and made us view the system in a wider way and hence master some relations that greatly affected appearance and relations between different cars for both New and used cars. A good example is that the resale value of a car highly depended on the type of the car. A good example is that people did not prefer a used Toyota and would rather take a used BMW. Creative live models using software’s like Ansys also helped us identify some of the weaknesses in the system.

Collaborative aspects of the system

  1. Integrations

Different people in the system in the team developed different parts of the system. One of the main goals of the system is that different parts of the system should coordinate so that the systems can coordinate simultaneously and give an expected output of the system.

Naming

One of the ways we helped mitigate integrations all along the system is to make a system that has the same naming system. We agreed on the exact naming of the assets in the systems that would be reflected back to the system. This would ensure that calls made into the database were precise according to the naming system.

2.Creation of reference numbers and data security.

The other aspect that we saw was important for protection of the system was creation of reference numbers and ensuring the security of data in the system. The database was secured and a program created to protect customer data in the system. Reference numbers are a very easy way to enable extraction of data from a system. The reference numbers of the system served as the primary keys of the system and enabled timely extraction of data from the system for customer analysis and evaluation.

Ensuring success of a team

There are various steps that can be taken to ensure the success of a team at any given time. Below are some of the steps that can be taken to ensure the success of a team at any given time. Here are some of the ways in which the success of a Team can be ensured.

  • Creating schedules

The first way in which the success of a system can be guaranteed is by making sure that there are schedules for task deliveries in the system

  • Drawing models

The other step involves drawing and creating models of what is expected out of the system so that work can be carefully researched in a timely manner. Drawing models is an important step in ensuring success of a team.

Avoiding hindrances in team work.

HINDRANCES

SOLUTIONS

SKILL DIVERGENCE

Everyone should be taken where he or she can be in a position to share his/her own skillset. There were team members who were good in the front-end part of the system and on the other hand there were team members who were good in the back-end of the system.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Some of the effects of having many people in a system is that people are different. Some of the effects of interpersonal skills is that some people naturally are introverts and others are extroverts. As a team leader I was able to understand various characters and integrate them together to form the best output of the project.

CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

The other hindrances that affect the success of a system is that everyone developing the system wants to develop the simple part of the system. Since some parts of the system are seen easier that the other
