How to get a student visa Easily?

Students who are going to apply for a US student visa must know the processes to apply. Just follow these easy steps to get your Visa conveniently:

Step 1: Apply and get accepted by US college/ university

The very first is to fill the form correctly and submit the form by December or January each year. As we have said above that the school you are going to apply for must be approved by SEVP. Thus, find the SEVP accredited school in the US.

Step 2: Receive Form I-20 or DS-2019 From Your School

We already have discussed above that there are 3 types of student visa i.e. F-1, M-1, and J-1. The students applying for F-1 and M-1 student visa will receive a Form I-20 and J-1 students have to fill the form DS-2019/2010/2021.

The form includes data such as the student’s SEVIS ID, school address, and other important information about the program you have applied for. Also, this form is required for a student’s visa interview.

Step 3: Deposit the I-901 SEVIS Non-Refundable Fee

Once you are done with the filling of form I-20 or DS-2019 received from your school, pay the I-901 SEVIS fee online. For F-1/M-1 students: 200 USD and J-1 students: 180 USD.

Note: This fee can be changed at any time as per the US educational board.

Step 4: Contact your nearest consulate or embassy

Now, you are eligible to apply for your student visa. Always apply from your nearest embassy or consulate. Students must also know that your US student visa processes can differ depending on the embassy or consulate you are applying through.

Step 5: Complete the DS-160 form process online

Furthermore, students are required to complete the processes of the DS-160 form. It is also known as the non-immigrant visa application. Following are the items which must be kept ready to fill the form successfully:

  • Passport
  • Visa photograph (to upload)
  • Form I-20 or DS-2019
  • Travel itinerary (if planned)
  • Provides dates of your last five visits to the US (if applicable)
  • A resume or CV or SoP (Statement of Purpose)

Step 6: Schedule an interview

  • Copy of the visa photograph
  • A hard copy of your DS-160 confirmation page
  • Printed copy for I-901 SEVIS fee confirmation page
  • Visa application fee payment receipt
  • Carry Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 which you have received by the university via email
